I was wondering: does anyone know what the actual title of Konami's Getsu Fuuma Den is? I've seen it as Getsu Fuuma Den, Getsu Fūma Den and Fukuda Geppu Maden Getsufuu.

I think it's one of those things that's open to translation interpretation, I've seen it variously described as Getsufu Maden, Getsu Fuumaden, and most commonly, Getsu Fūma Den. Maybe someone Japanese could confirm :)
The game's box and cart label, as well as the title screen all feature furigana (basically a pronunciation guide) that says げつふうまでん (getsufuumaden and getsufūmaden are both legit ways to transcribe this).
Getsu Fūma is the name of the main character, so the game is Getsu Fūma Den or Getsu Fuuma Den (The Legend of Getsu Fūma), not Getsufuu Maden (Demon-Legend of Getsufuu) or Geppu Maden (Demon-Legend of Burp).
If it was supposed to be "Geppu Maden" it would say "げっぷまでん".

I agree with you, the furigana on the game cover and manual is fairly clear, I've always called the game 'Getsu Fūma Den' myself, I also believe this is the correct name.
