Does anyone know of a site that shows everything that comes in a complete copy of this game? The board game looks quite neat, and I recently bought one on the cheap. I have the opportunity to grab another one, and would consider doing so, just for the pieces, if mine indeed is missing some. Anyone know what is needed / comes with a complete set? Thanks!
I can check mine later. I got it cheap and supposedly CIB (none of the cardboard counters was removed from their chart). Maybe there's a list of things included in the manual or papers.
I've always wanted to buy this but never been sure each copy had everything contained - would love a guide to be able to reference, or if someone could be so kind / helpful as to document their complete copy.

Alright, that would be awesome if it is not too much of a trouble. :) I don't think my copy is complete, but depending how bad off it is, I might pick up another one as well.
These types of things are the reason why I love Famicom so much. IMO, there is so much neat stuff like this, and even though the game may suck (who knows?) the whole thing is still really cool looking.
I was the same, I wanted it since I'm a fan of both video games and board games but wasn't sure if it was complete. Then I found it seemingly untouched (at least the board game parts) and cheap to boot so I couldn't resist it anymore. But I never really looked into it and I put it back in it's box and forgot about it. I'm happy there are more people interested in it, and now I finally have an excuse to try figuring it out how it works.
OK here are all things included in my set:
- Box (top and bottom parts)
- Plastic inner box in two parts (uncoloured top part and whine red bottom part)
- Game cartridge
- 4 metal figurines with coloured bottomplates (red, green, blue and black)
- 33 pages manual in full colour
- 8 charts of spell cards (a scroll on the back) with 8 cards each (so it's 64 cards in total but two are blank)
- 2 charts with 48 round counters each ("color chips"). One has a green and a blue side, and the other one a black and a red.
- Pink chart with 3 cards (sword, mirror and magatama) and 6 square counters (2 swords, 2 mirrors and 2 magatama). This chart also has 6 empty square counters (and 8 more smaller scrap pieces) but I have no idea if they are used in the game or thrown away.
- Game board
- "Namcot Information" ads for other Namco games
- Guarantee certificate and registration paper
The plastic inner box has 7 pockets where the cartridge and 4 figurines goes into. The remaining two pockets are empty but I guess the counters goes in there once they have been pushed out of the charts.
The 64 spell cards can be divided into command cards, battle cards and battle/command cards. I guess the two blank cards are thrown away but who knows.
It's getting late. I plan to study the manual later when I have time. Also if I can get my scanner to work again I could scan everything so it will be easy to check if you are missing anything and reproduce missing parts.
Awesome! Thanks for the list, I will compare it to mine sometime when I am home.
I don't think mine has anywhere near 64 cards, but that doesn't really surprise me. If you could take some pics at some point (even semi-poor quality) that would be great, good enough to check off what I have would work for me :)
Here's a video of one being unboxed.

There is also a 3D version (works w/ new 3DS browser)
OK here are some crappy photos as promised:

As they say in the video this is well-made stuff in very good quality.
Thanks for the pics!
It looks like my set is fairly complete, though it is missing one of the red / black pieces, as well as the plastic cover to hold all the pieces in. Grrr. Oh well, I think it is okay enough for me.
Good it isn't missing anything important like a card though. The color chips should be easy to replace if it's not enough.
Gonna read the manual later and post a summary here how you play it.

Exactly! Those are my thoughts as well.
I've always thought this game looked cool, so I had planned on actually playing it at some point. That point may come sooner thanks to your upcoming summary :) Thank you!
