Hey guys! Still alive.
Had a customer come into the shop earlier this week and he was talking to me about UltraHDMI. Have any of you seen this before? (http://ultrahdmi.retroactive.be/) It looks pretty amazing, though I admit I am somewhat skeptical. The setup apparently does not change the system's native resolutions (obviously), but allows for the output to be upscaled seamlessly to 1080p. I may send out one of my extra N64s to see what happens. Imagine playing California Speed like this. :3
This is a pretty straightforward introduction video, with some other odds and ends. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpy1M6v2_MI)
And here is a lengthy video detailing the installation process. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OC1SvOpbaFY)
When are they available? it seems interesting
They had just run out of them a few days ago before I got my paycheck (go figure) and I am not sure when they will be back in. But I will probably pick one up when they are and will report back.
Huh cool. Do you know where i can check for availability? It seems like they're sold through separate retailers.
I plan on having these guys do mine when they are back in stock.

They ran out a few days ago but are saying it'll be back in stock soon.
At $164, that's a great deal. :coin:
As much as I think I might be able to do it myself, it does seem like a pretty involved process and outside of my comfort zone.
I'm comfortable with doing it myself. Do you know of a place that offers a kit?
I do not know of any way to get the kit by itself. The outlet that sells the kits reportedly only sells to verified installers and to nobody else.
