Post by: Rogerwilco on December 14, 2015, 11:39:25 am
Hello

a friend of mine has this old famiCLONE but he says its not working,
i told him to check the fuse to see if there was continuity and he says he can“t find any fuse on the board

do these come without a fuse??
what parts should he replace if there is no fuse?

Try replacing the voltage regulator (7805 chip) - it's the 3 legged one attached to the heatsink.

You have to use a proper DC adapter. Swapped polarity adapter kills 7805 in 2 seconds.
