Title: Would this work for an AV mod? (Original Famicom)
Post by: Famicom3DS on December 14, 2015, 09:03:01 pm
Well my Famicom works, but I tried to clean up the RF jack and it doesn't want to give any video besides unidentifiable fuzziness.
So I figure that I could follow this AV mod.

Would a TRRS/3.5mm jack work if I cut the RF jack and soldered the TRRS jack where the RF jack used to be?

Yes, I use the 3.5mm jack as well for my AV mods. This way you won't need to cut the plastic. You totally do need to cut the RF box in some way. That part is up to you.

I don't mind cutting the RF box, just the outside plastic shell.  :)
