Title: Summer Carnival 92': Recca CHANGE LIMIT mystery
Post by: Arkanix38 on July 06, 2016, 01:14:45 am
I recently got a repro cart (thanks xIceMan) and have been playing around with the various secrets in the game. One thing I have noticed, however, is that the change limit screen appears to have no effect on gameplay.

I have tried lowering the 'Limit', but it does not change anything in Time Attack or Score Attack. I have not noticed any change in the main game either! I've tried Zanki Attack and again, no change. I've not found any solid explanation for what this screen does, so does anyone have a bloody clue what it does?

Isn't that to do with how many points it takes to get an extra life?  Like a 1up bonus threshold?

Don't think so, changed limit to 1000 and still got my first life power up around 50,000

Other than needing to go to the Change Limit screen to activate the infinite lives cheat, no other use for it has been found as far as I know.

Thanks for the reply Ghegs! From my experimentation this seems to be the case, if anyone can prove me wrong i'd love to hear from you!
