Title kinda says it. I don't have a lot of them, but I find them interesting, odd, and intriguing... and kinda fun to collect besides.
Of the hacks I own in cart form, I have Super Bros. 6. Super Bros. 10: Kung Fu Mario, Somari, and Mario Adventure (NES format). I am eyeballing others through sale threads, and other sources. They seem a little silly, and some even a bit hokey, but some of the games that were hacked to make them were pretty good (Adventure Island 2, 3, Kid Niki). Kung Fu Mario is just goofy. Lol.
Found a webpage on them, and there are many. Lol. Bookmarked it, as it shows early (or possibly original) labels/carts, and later reprints. I have seen some pics of some out of Eastern Europe that match neither appearance though. Anyone know if those were PAL optimized boards, or if they would run worth a damn in an NTSC system?
Dunno. Just think they are kinda neat. I don't really shy away from pirate carts, because well, at this point, they're kind of unavoidable... and they can get pretty kooky, and that makes them fun. Anyone collect Mario Hacks? I know we have a running list in the forums for known hacks. I've never really actively thought about trying to make a set of anything beyond a handful of series. Never thought about a particular run, or type of pirate game as a "set" to have as a collecting goal.

Would this thread be better served by being moved into the Mario Hack list thread?
