I have seen 2 or 3 different methods for the original Famicom and am wondering which method is the best. Originally was going to do the NESRGB for s-video but I am unwilling to give up the eject function (kinda silly I know). So what is the preferred method as of now? Also I have pretty bad jailbars when using rf so I figure it will not be better with composite without some work.
if you add cap between + and - you will reduce the jailbars ;)

I did not know that they made dropin kits. I did not see any when I looked. Perhaps I am searching the wrong thing?

Which + and -?
Syco54645, add one cap 47mF 5V or above + on pin 22 on PPU and - on nearest ground like in the scheme , and add one more bigger cap like in the scheme 220mF again 5V or more on any point with 5V and nearest ground (in the scheme + is pin 40 on PPU, I used 1000mF or more, the resolutes are better for filtering )
use on this scheme only those caps to reduce vertical lines, and for AV mod the simplest way is in the second picture :) in my case this is the best combination , and I did not disable my RF ;)

Wow those look awesome! I wonder how the jailbars are on it. This is pretty much exactly what I was looking for as it keeps the console as stock as possible.

just design your own PCB and send it to PCB factory. Once you get the PCBs, then solder the components.
produced PCB could be around $3-5, all required components for 1pcs are at most $3 too. so, you'd probably fit into $10 excluding your priceless time for PCB designing and soldering job.

I saw nothing wrong with his statement. If we want to get technical the board costs more than a working famicom... And is coming from china where this sort of stuff is notoriously cheap and sometimes absolute crap quality.

Geez, what the hell did I do to piss you off?
Yeah I wish everything was a tad cheaper, "everything" is the key word here, because the AV units and the FPGA systems look great, but I can't justify it now because I'm not going to blow almost $40 to AV mod a Famicom or $169 to buy a whole new console to play my games on after I installed a hi def nes into my Famicom AV which was a gift to me.
I've never heard of someone get so pissy over such a little comment. There's no need for hostility here and I certainly wasn't looking for or expecting it. If I knew such a line said would piss on someone's engineering degree I would take it back, but you make even the most mundane sentence written feel like eggshells are being stepped on.
