Title: Recommendation for (free) web hosting?
Post by: fcgamer on April 12, 2017, 02:41:56 am
Hey guys, I am looking for suggestions for a free web host.  I just want to make a simple page to display scans of all the bootleg Famicom carts I have, and that is it.  So I just want something free, but reliable.

I used http://www.webs.com when they used to be freewebs and I thought it was great. Then again, that was like 15 years ago. Give It a try and see!

That's my problem, I used to do that sort of thing as well, 15 years ago!!!   ;D

I'll sign up for the free site, it should probably work for my purposes.  I don't want anything fancy at all, more just for displaying some pictures.

I just know that some artists use archive.org to upload (and/or backup) the releases and so on.

I have used byethost.com for years and always been satisfied. The only downside is the domain name (yourdomain.byethost**.com).

That doesn't seem like a problem at all. Great suggestions everyone.

Yes, thanks guys.  I'll check out all the options, then just need to reinstall my scanner (will be a huge production), but after that, I hope to post some scans up.
