Title: A game called "Effort" by VAP?
Post by: TPR on October 05, 2017, 08:53:34 am
The Famicom World game list has an entry for a game called "Effort" by VAP.  What is this?

http://famicomworld.com/game/281/

I can't find any mention of this game anywhere other than this entry.

Kick Challenger, Air Fort Yasai no Kuni no Ashisenshi.  Just a mistake.

OK thanks.  That's what I was assuming, but I just wanted to confirm.

How did you draw the connection so quickly, there?  Is there something we should correct, or should we just delete it?

It had been discussed a long time back on Nintendo Age.  It should just be deleted.  The release dates are the same, same company, also "Air Foot" and "Effort" almost sound the same too.  :)

So it's a romanization mistake. It should be Air Foot (エアフット), not Air Fort or Effort.

Mistakes in romanization has prevented me from finding certain games before in databases or ROM collections, until I found them later by chance.

Makes sense.  Deleted it from the game list.  Also added the Japanese title to the Air Foot page (http://famicomworld.com/game/1363/).
