I'm interested in hearing how everyone felt about their 2017s... share with the group :P
For me, it had its ups and downs though it could've been better. 2016 was alright later on but 2015, that just sucked. Here's hoping that 2018 will be full of cheer and joy, and less political drama in the news also though I can't guarantee that would happen :P
I have my own hopes for this year also, regarding things in my life :)

My year was similar to Protoman's in some ways although not far as much drama. It started out quite dull after loosing a grandfather the year before and not much happened until summer. I got in contact with some Japanese companies that needed a translator and interpreter, and I finally landed a wonderful job in Japan in autumn. Never been to Japan more than a couple of months so this was a fantastic chance. The year ended with a great new year celebration with good friends. :star:

I'm sorry to hear that... I also lost my aunt at that time too, through lung cancer. May he rest now :(
Sorry to hear about your aunt too.
My grandfaher was old and it was expected by everyone much earlier. He got kept getting confused and forgot everyone from time to time, I'm just glad that he recognized me the last time I met him before he passed on.
For my aunt, she didn't have a quality of life as she was a long-time sufferer of cerebral palsy but even at that, she had a strong mind and was able to speak up for herself. She'll me missed :(
But now, let us go through of what 2018 has to offer for each of us ;)
