How do I make it work with a flat LG TV (model 32LD550)?
It has not RF adapter, just an RF cable. The TV has 2 antenna inputs, one labeled "antenna in" and anothe labeled "cable in".
I don't even know if the machine is working, thanks to no LED on it. But upon switching it on, I notice a small jump on the scrambled screen; seems like something's happening. But even doing a full channel search brings nothing on the screen, either scrambled or black.
I am a 90s NES kid, not an 80s FC kid :o :o :o
connect the RF cable to "cable in" and go to search only analog channels !
Still struggling with this; can't get a picture from any channel with my LG television through RF.
Any cheap RF to AV converter? I can only find AV to RF converters (which is understandably easier to do ;D )
something like this

or can i use a coaxial to l/r audio adapter? ;D ;D

It's look like that your TV have no analog RF tuner, only digital one ???

consider to modify the Famicom to AV, but nether way the picture from old composite or RF consoles on the new LCD TVs is not so good :(
Thanks for the info, so it's the tv problem...
I dont mind the bad quality, i just need to check that my famicoms are working :)
Any suggestions for a cheap rf to av adapter? Id try the one i linked, but it comes with a remote, im not sure its even what i need
I went the crazy route and bought a Vcr from Japan. Rf to vcr, then composite to flatscreen/framemeister. It does work. Mainly got it for my TV Game-15 and TV Game Block.
try the famicom on multi-region CRT TV :) they usually do not have problem with RF signals , but to be sure
, make removable AV composite mod, so you can test the famicom even on your LCD TV
This is the most simple mod out here, so you can remove it easy after the test if you want, and your famiccom will look stock again 8)
One year later, still haven't managed to test my Famicom units.
So there's this 14 inch CRT TV I can buy, it has an RF input at the back, and the service manual says
"The antenna must correspond to the new standard DIN 45325 (IEC 169-2) for combined UHF antenna with 75 ohm connector."
Is this compatible with the Famicom RF cable?
Thanks
I give up.
Bought a CRT TV, no signal on any channel except an extremely faint B&W signal on channel 4.
Bought a VCR, no signal on any channel from 1 to 99.
What the hell? This may be the last time I try turning on a Famicom.
The ridiculous thing is that the HK NES was released more than 2 years earlier, then Nintendo released the HK FC and went back in time with amazing RF. Thanks!
may be the RF unit in the famicom is broken :fire:
:'(
Meh, tried more than one... I don't believe they're all faulty :(
Try good shielded RF cablle
But first verify if the console is working with multimeter, and check if there is 5V present after the voltage regulator 7805, if not check the fuse and replace it if nesesery , but if the fuse is OK then replace the voltage regulator it self.
