I just got a Summer Carnival '92 Recca famicom cart from ebay. The japanese seller has a good reputation and sold heavies like this in the past, but I noticed the board's connectors is unlike any ever seen.
I just can't find PCB scans of Recca on internet. And when I try to compare the connectors from the bottom of the cart, I see different shape of connectors.
The 2 first pictures are my cart, the 3rd one is from another ebay auction. Notice the difference between the 2 pictures of the front of the cart. My cart's connectors are rounded edge and the middle part is different too.
Is there possible that different PCBs were use for the same release ?
Can someone confirm that it is a legit copy of Recca and not a repro board ?

Looks extremely suspicious. I have never seen "wide contacts" on a Nintendo-made Famicom board. Also, the edge of your cartridge looks flat. Nintendo-made PCBs bevel the edge, thinning it out a little as reaches the end to make it easier to insert the cartridge into the slot. I think you got repro.
If it is a repro - the label will give it away and save you busting it open to look at the PCB.
Can you share a very high res or scanned image out of the plastic? Rear label also may be a clue.
I don't have an original Recca, but bear in mind it was very low run, so that can sometimes make a difference.
I opened it carefully without damaging it.

Nintendo never manufactured any PCB with rounded gold pins. It's a give-away. Also the cover has some oddities which I won't mention to not help them improve :blinky:
They made the effort to erase the AX5202P marking. It being written wouldn't have changed anything in one's opinion about it being fake. It just makes it worst imo.
I hope you've opened a case with PayPal already, although I remember with some old NA threads, they would decline the case if they knew you opened the cart and/or tampered with the PCB.
$400 is way too much to lose to this scumbag, this listing sold 2 copies, so unfortunately another member bought this junk and may not know it yet. :'(
Edit: I've reported this auction as well, I would have been really skeptical with a single user selling 3 copies!

Thanks Yelir, one to avoid. I also reported the item listing still up and would encourage others to do the same. Blatant fraud going on there.
