Title: Question about bootlegs
Post by: Minaw on October 26, 2018, 04:06:54 pm
So I got a Splatterhouse Wanpaku Graffiti cart off Ebay and turned out to be a bootleg english translation of it. Is there any issue of running these type of carts on a AV Famicom or am I worried about nothing? :(

Could you upload a picture of it? If it was the original Namcot cart with translated ROM I would consider that a bonus!  :cherry:

Nowaday Chinese seller or middleman (who buy from China) selling these bootleg cartrdige is selling cartridge that potentially (at least theory, to be honest I never had problem "toasting" my FC), might be a hazard for FC. Not trying scare you, but please upload picture of PCB, but although yes, is a worry, is heavily extaggerated this "voltage issue", since most people not playing like same game 7-times a week for many hours probably not will experience any issue. But potential issue = Potential issue, so please upload PCB or such and might we guide you further,  :o :-[
