Title: USB to PS/2 Adapters
Post by: MarioMania on October 16, 2007, 05:47:57 pm
Have anyone ever use them for Keyboards...I'm getting one from HK, I know the adapter converts the PS/2 Signal to USB

Looks like a simple pin adapter (for those combo keyboards/mice), but don't take my word for it.

That's what it looks like to me.  I've heard that many of them don't work as expected, since they're simple adapters without any kind of IC in them.

Yeah, they rely on the keyboard/mouse being able to speak USB instead of translating the PS/2 signals into USB. I think the one I posted earlier does the translation (the 'blob' in the cable might contain a USB HID controller). But of course, your luck may vary.
