What are the differences? what makes it better? All I remember from the game is the Japanese looking houses but that's about it
Well, the sprites are drawn differently, and some Pokemon actually look better than in the red/blue versions. But some sprites like Charizard in Pokemon Green look like a 5 year old drew them. But in any case, the green version IS better than the red/blue versions, because some of the maps are longer and harder, some characters are placed differently, and the colour is of course, green, which fits better than red or blue (blue and red grass seems a little strange no?). Some of you might say,''Wow this looks so cool! I'm gonna import a copy for myself!'' But the question is, is it worth it? The answer is yes, totally. Even though it's in japanese the game is still as easy and playable as in red/blue. And it shouldn't be too much costly on ebay. I bought mine with the original manual for as low as 15$ :)
ya the pokemon look better but your right charzard looks retarted but their is also that dungeon were mewtwo is and its completly diffrent from americas and the games original and was only realesed in japan so that makes the game better at least thats wat it think
ya i think im going to buy red blue and yellow cib just to have the whole jpn set
the funniest lookin poekmon have to be mew, charizard, wigglytuff, machamp, gengar, Drowzee, hypno, lickitung, vaporeon, moltres, and dragonite
dont forget venyasaur he has an actual tree coming out of his back
Yeah and venausaur seems to look pretty flat on the ground!
he almost looks like a toad of some kind with plants coming out of him
But mew and charizard are the worst ones. Mew looks to have some kind of weird bump on the top of his head and his body looks just god awful. And charizard's tail looks kind of squarish and he just simply looks retarded :D

Any pictures of retarded Charizard? lol
Green is pretty damn cool. Its written all in basic Japanese, so the text is very easy to follow, and something I've noticed - the translation for Red/Blue is direct translated Japanese...they didn't reinvent the duologue at all! This means that if I get stuck at what someone's saying in Green, I'll just pop in Red and find out what's going on. Its great to own, but I disagree with it being needed. See, US released Red and Blue are BOTH basically hacked versions of Japanese Blue with elements of Red and Green thrown in. There isn't really anything in Green that players haven't seen before, beyond different sprite art (for better or worse) and different Pokémon locations.
Here is the green version of Charizard in all its...ummm...glory! ;D
