Title: Famicom Disk System Belt Replacement, belt slipping
Post by: conrat4567 on July 07, 2020, 03:06:05 pm
Hey Guys,

I have purchased a replacement belt for my disk system and it keeps slipping when I am aligning the head. The belt starts to rise up on large plastic spindle when rotating and the finally it slips off. I need to align the head but this is making it impossible.

I bought the belt as it was advertised as for being for the system but I'm wondering if its not the right one. Any help would be appreciated, maybe a link to where I can get a known working belt?

I, too, have been having this very FRUSTRATING issue. At first, I thought the oil from my fingertips(as I had had quite a bit of trouble putting the belt on straight  >:( ) was causing it to slip, but even after cleaning it off with Windex, the belt keeps slipping after a few rotations. I'd like some help.
