Title: Disk drive problem
Post by: Peppe on October 09, 2020, 03:22:15 am
I've been trying to write disks using my drive and fdsstick after modding it with no success. After giving up i turned off the system, took out the disk, turned it on again without the disk and the drive kept spinning, i then pushed the lever to make it think that there was a disk and instead of giving me error 1 it gives me error 22, as if there is some data. Isit a drive problem or a ram adapter problem?

EDIT: as i was typing this the drive suddenly stopped and now it's not doing it anymore while still giving me error 22 when pushing the lever so... was the drive realigning itself maybe?

Error 22 is definitely an alignment issue.  Might want to try to recalibrate it if you know how.

I would personally look for a known working power board and see if that solves the issue before trying to recalibrate the drive. If you didn't touch the drive at all and it was working before then it would seem more likely you screwed up in the power board area.
