I got this one cheap, I wanted a longer cord and a turbo fire option :gamer: It was sold as is, not working. I did some checked, the disk screen comes up when I start in disk drive mode but won't read disk (bad belt probably). When I switch to cart mode, I get blank screen.
I tried multiple Famicom carts and Everdrive N8 Fami, nothing works. I suspect the connector pins may be damaged? Where would I get replacement connector? I can see some 60 pins connector on sites like Mouser but Twin Famicom's connector has flange with mounting holes and I would imagine a connector without the hold would cause the PCB to flex every time I pull the cart out.
Did you try and give the cartridge connecter a good cleaning?
old credit card, microfiber cloth, and 99.9% isopropyl alcohol. I used it a lot in the cart slot and I still can't get anything but blank gray screen. Since it boots up in disk mode with the sign and Mario/Luigi running around, PPU, RAM, and CPU is fine.
Got the USB microscope, it looks like one of the cart pin got bent down and smashed onto the bottom of the socket. I guess the pin got caught on something and was smashed down I guess I need a new connector.
