Title: Black Twin Famicom - "Twin problem" - Power Board Mod + Disk not read
Post by: asper on December 08, 2022, 10:13:08 am
Hi guys, I will modify my 3602 drive chip with the tototek v4 chip but i read I also need to modify the power board to write disks. In forums i read i need to connect 2 grey wires together but my board is different form the ones shown. I attach a picture

Any hint about how to modify it ?

Second problem: the console was on the shelf for 2 years and after I opened the drive to read the chip number, after reassembling it is, not reading disks anymore (unfortunately I did not test it before opening). I have just 1 disk to test... the belt seems to be "weak" so I ordered another one from tototek... the drive head moves forward and back in a continuous loop... rarely it displays an error 22... any specific hint/suggestion ?

UPDATE

I see no chips over the power board so I suppose it is the equivalent of a FDS "rev1", right ?
