Title: "New Famicom" not showing picture
Post by: Hmmm on May 20, 2023, 04:46:13 am
I have just recently got an AV Famicom ("New Famicom"), and it doesn't seem to be showing any picture. Not even just a black screen, just no signal. Anyone have a solution?

I mean, that could be many things.

If you have a multimeter, check whether the power switch actually works, see if the board is getting power, etc.

Does you get a "click" on the TV when you turn on the console?

If not, then your console is probably dead. Most likely it's the regulator, it tends to blow. If you have a multimeter, you can check if it outputs 9 volt (on stick on the center pin on the regulator, and one stick on the pin to the right)
