Title: Lower Profile Oscillator.
Post by: aricsdaddy on June 05, 2023, 04:27:29 am
Hi.  I am looking for a replacement 21.47727 MHz Oscillator for my HVC-CPU-GPM-01 Board. The normal one is way to tall for my project, so can anyone tell me of a drop in replacement that is easily available (USA) and drop in.  If they also know of a replacement reset button that would be great too :-)

Thanks.

Going to be difficult to find that locally in the USA, I'm afraid.

I got some from here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003268977312.html
Does take a while to arrive, of course.

As for the switch, any momentary switch will do, really.

I thought the Famicom required a oscillator not a crystal?  I know the NES has a Crystal, but....

I've put a those in place of the original oscillator and they worked just fine.

The snes uses the same crystal but in a lower profile.

You can grab them here.
