Title: ASCII Turbo File 2 Innards
Post by: deepthaw on May 16, 2025, 01:50:15 pm
Had to open the Turbo File 2 I got off eBay to remove the badly corroded batteries and do general cleanup so I took some pics while I had it open in case anybody finds it useful.

How did you get rid of the battery acid? Mine has the same problem and doesn't work.
I've heard you can use vinegar to neutralize it to prevent it from continuing to eat away on it.

I just scraped and used rubbing alcohol. I should probably go back and do something more "correct" but it's working fine now.

I see, I've been unsuccessful with scraping but my case was maybe a really bad one because part of the metal flap for the battery broke off as I scrubbed it.
