Why would there be an additional cord coming out of the controller 1 port in the back of my famicom. I assume it's another av out. I try to use both the av cord and the rf output port and i can get neither to come out clear on my american tv, even on channel 95.
I still have to open it up to check it out, but was hoping someone could shed some light.
You guys are all very helpful, thanks in advance.
take a picture. I'm not sure what you're talking about.
hopefully that helps.....thanks!

this is an AV out mod probably. either its a botched mod or you're looking at the wrong channel. personally I would use a desolder to remove the mod
Does it end in two or three male RCA plugs? If not, what kind of plug does the cable end to?
it is an av mod.
plugged it into an rca video input and it came up beautifully on the screen.
stupid question: How do i get sound now?
Also, while i have the great help. My FDS is on perpetual now loading screen, so that either means broken belt or other issue? Its making noise when i put the disk in, its hard to describe
If only one RCA plug comes with the wire and it's video, then the RF output is now the audio output. Try plugging a male to male RCA cable from the RF output to the audio input of your TV.
