Title: brawlBay
Post by: nurd on February 07, 2008, 12:11:11 pm
Well, theres A ToyRiffic not to far from here that sold Halo 3 over a month early.
I was thinking, I bet they'll sell Smash early, too.
Would it be a bad thing to buy these and sell them on eBay?
Just wondering if this was frowned upon or not.

Well since these games are very highly anticipated I'm sure you would make a pretty penny by selling them on ebay but you could also run into trouble if Nintendo finds out!

I'd actually love a C&D from Nintendo >.<

I dunno if they will even be selling them early, but I'll call and ask in a week or two.

I can't see how Nintendo would legally be able to do anything against you as a customer. Once you own the game its up to you to decide what to do with it - its your property.

It would be like buying a car and then painting pink pokadots on it and getting a C&D for the car company. Although it would look ugly, they have no right to tell you what to do with your own personal property.

I'd say do it.

Agreed.  Nintendo won't be able to do anything to you.  The store you bought it from could get in trouble for breaking the street date (if Nintendo can trace it back to them).

Items that break their street dates definitely get listed on eBay.  I'm not sure if they end up getting removed or not, but they're definitely on there.

they do not get removed, I have experienced this before.

or at least, back when it happened, the policy was not to remove them.

either way, Brawl will sell for several times more its value to crazied gamers who have to have it NOW.

Brawl will undoubtably be the game of the year without question.

i just wish there were some better characters.
We oly need one star fox character, the Star Wolf and Falco are just clones :(
I want to be an Animal Crossing character. It would work.

Blah, had i designed the characters in the game, ROB's B attack (or whatever it's called now) would be shooting a Gyro or throwing a Block.

ROB is still awsome, though.
