Title: FS: 11 Famicoms (for parts and to experiment)
Post by: JC on March 27, 2008, 10:59:07 pm
Anyone interested in 11 Famicoms, let me know. They'd be cheap. Varying condition, internally and externally.

Why do you want to get rid of them?

I don't want to get rid of them; they're a friend's and he just has them laying around, not being used. I'm not quite sure how he came across them.

I can't get a pic, but if you're looking to make use of the shell to replace a yellowed shell, it won't happen. Most of these are somewhat to completely yellowed. They're more for anyone looking for buttons, screws, internal stuff. They all power on and some seem to work. But with the ones that work, the controllers don't, so you'd have to swap stuff around to get fully functioning Famicoms out of these.

Let me know. If not, he'll just eBay them, I guess.

If I was in the US, I'd go for them (maybe). But this way shipping would kill the deal. :-\

Well I would be looking for one to replace the innards of a famiclone that just doesn't seem to load games properly (it isn't based on the NOAC). Sometimes sprites show up, but that's it. How much would he want shipped to Canada for a working famicom with broken controls?

I am interested in only 1, how much would that be?

That's actually a very nice idea I wouldn't have thought of. Famicom inside a Famiclone.  :D

Sounds like he wants to get rid of them all at once, but I'll check.

If he's really just "getting rid of them" and it would be cheap, I'd take all 11. I always like experimenting with hardware... :)

Depending on the price I will take 1-11. I don't have a famicom and I want one really bad so if I could get one bought at a decent price that I could get to work that would be awesome. How much is he wanting for each of them or all of them?

Sorry for not getting back to anyone about this. I haven't been able to chat with my friend -- I've been ill. I'll get back to you soon.

Thanks, 133. :)

Asking price is $175 shipped. That's approximately $10 per Famicom -- shipping kinda kills, as expected. He's willing to work a deal...to get rid of them. Won't sell individually, because that gets to be a pain, I guess. He says approx. 7 of them are "working" -- meaning they get a picture and appear to be able to play games (controllers don't work on some).

Don't hesitate to offer based on that price, even if you lowball it. He may just end up listing them on eBay soon.

I'd take 2-3 of the fully working ones.  I got a few buddies who wouldn't minding have one.

Let me know JC.

Thanks,
Carl
