What's the going rate on eBay for a CIB Family Computer?

About $75-$150 usually.

So, from what I've seen, the price is $40 to $50 for a working Famicom, about $75 for a CIB in ok condition and about $150 for an NIB.

$150 for a NIB Famicom on Ebay? No way. But I wish that was the case. I didn't dare offer sellers less than $300 for a new one since their asking price is $450 or even $525.

Yeah, the price has gone way up now. I like to think it's thanks to us. :P

Yeah by this point, I'd say NIB for $150 is a dream. I'd say no less than $200, but you'd have to get lucky. $300 sounds about right. Most seem to price them over $400 (those ones hardly ever sell).

About a year ago I paid about $300 for a Round Button Famicom in box, Family Basic keyboard (no box), and a Famicom Cassette Recorder brand new in box (recorder still wrapped in plastic!). I kind of wish I had the paperwork and box for my Basic, oh well. It was the start of my Famicom purchasing. I got it from PinkGodzillaGames.com.
