Neat item, eh? I had hoped to win it.
Did you see the original BIN price of $300!! What was that seller thinking?
oh man that was you? sorry dude. I just bid like $20 before I went to bed figuring it was going to go like over $50 and I would have lost. Much to my surprise I check my email this morning and I won it for 7.50. Crazy. I've seen it go for $75 bucks before. I'll give everyone a complete rundown of whats on it though and if its really good. I know the "Game King" competition is on YouTube.
Yeah, I was closely watching that aswell, but decided against it at the last minute, take screenshots when you get it, vealchop!
For that price it's a nice get I think. Congrats on that.
I saw the DVD when I was in Japan, but I didn't buy it because it was too expensive. I rather bought about 20 games for the same price. ;)
Please do a review and tell us how it is.
If it's really good, I might still get it next time in Japan. (The amazon reviews aren't that good though)
Yeah, I'm a little interested aswell. A review would be great!
*peer pressuring vealchop* :P
Now that you've had time to view it...was the purchase worth it?
For the price I got it for (around 20 bucks with shipping) its a fun video. I dunno if I'd pay the retail price of 5,800 yen for this though. If I understood japanese it would be a lot better. Although the game king section is a lot of fun and so is the "famicom house" part that shows a lot of rare accessories. Theres a commercial for the famicom "robot" (AKA R.O.B. in the states) that I've never seen before that features a futuristic police chase that super cheesy and 80's hahaha! They also countdown the top 100 famicom games as rated by Famitsu by show some gameplay of each, although I havent gotten through all of it because its close to a 2 hour segment!
I have a ROB commercial about aerobics...talk about weird. Will be up soon. :)
Speaking of Famicom DVD's...

I want it too! :P
yeah you guys should snag these up when they're this cheap, like veal chops, in Japan they'll usually always sell for at least $25. Retail is like $40 so they sell for that much easily as well.
featherplukin, have you seen the DVD? can you fill me in on what the whole famicom house part was all about?
Sorry, never seen it. Those DVD's are too expensive for me in Japan! :-\
Anyone going to bid on that? I might.
No doubt I will. Keep away, JL. Mine, mine, mine. :P
That would be mine, JC. :)
PLEASE DON'T BID. :'(

PLEASE DON'T BID. :'(
You have enough Famicom stuff... :P
Got up early for nothing...ended too high for my liking...over $40 shipped. :P
Same here. My friend called me and said it went to like $45. Total waste. Total total waste.
I must say though, I am getting sick of people overbidding on things...it's becoming like NES collecting now...
Hahahaha. I thought the same thing... :D
Well, not really. Unless it's thanks to us a huge breed of collectors came...in which case I am glad. ;D
Does anyone have a link to a video of this?
Bump, still looking for an online video of this.

There ya go man.
I own it, bought it a few years back at full price, got reimbursed because it was my birthday present *lol*
It's interesting,t here is the Famicom House segment, where various accessories are shown, including the unboxing of a PAX Power Glove. Also included are old commercials as well as a Famicom top 100 showing gameplay videos as well. I was pleased as it also includes "Game King" which was the Star Soldier competition movie that starred Takahashi Meijin, also showing the ever famous "training" scene where he splits a watermelon using his rensha finger *lol*
For under $50 it's worth it I suppose if you are wanting a good famicom dvd... I dont regret it, nor do I regret my purchase of Fami-Complete, that book set has brought hours of discussion among my friends. :)
