Title: My homemade Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa NES cart
Post by: keiffer01 on June 19, 2008, 05:53:09 pm
Today was a long and boring day. Didn't know what to do...so I started to play Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa on my Famicom. The game is pretty cool and all, but since it's on Famicom, I find the short controllers really annoying and I'm stuck with my face glued to the TV. Playing a Famicom game with a converter on a NES is also sometimes annoying since it's pretty finnicky and the games often lock up if the contacts budge a little. So I decided to do something to prevent this; house my BMBU game board in a NES cartridge with a converter inside. So I took a Mario Bros./Duck Hunt game cart I had, and peeled off the label. On my computer I drew some label art for BMBU on Paint which I think came out pretty nicely. I then printed the drawing on high quality paper, glued it on the cart, stuck the game board inside with a converter and BAMM! A NES version of BMBU! ;D And I can easily unscrew the game out so if I ever need it back in its original Famicom cart form it can easily be done in a few minutes so no worries. :P Here are some pictures;

Yeah the end label got screwed up a bit in the making, but non-the less it still looks great. I might fix the label later, but for now I'll just keep it that way. And if your unsure of the image, it's supposed to represent the first level when you fight a pig on top of a cake. :)

well it's not that hard really I just pull it up in the part where the contacts are and crack it open. I've done this with every Famicom cart I've got and none of them broked yet :P

Thanks! If I ever come across another Bio Miracle cart I think I will buy it and sell this cart maybe on ebay or on the forums.
