Title: Famicom Top Rider
Post by: corisco on July 11, 2008, 09:47:08 am
Hi guys,
I decided to post this because this game is very unusual to see complete, even here in Japan.
Today I was looking for some Famicom games in a big used shop and I found this:

I saw this just once before, from a japanese Famicom collector friend of mine. It's really curious, pretty small, I think it's not for westerners, but I bought, because the cheap price: 3000 yens! And the best of all, its brand new :D
I tested just to see how it works, the controls are great for a 1987 stuff, no problems at all. You can spend some time playing 'till your back and legs starts to hurt,  :P

I don't think to put my 80kg on that(I don't wanna see it exploding), but I will keep it in my collection or give to a son, in the future ;)

That's awesome; good price. I've seen a few on eBay and YHJ. I never noticed that it has a little peddle -- for airing it up, I presume.

You right, there's a little peddle to airing it up, after 3 minutes trying hard and you'll be able to play, lol

The gameplay really looks bad, but isnt, works well, the big problem is the back pain after some minutes :-\

That's really an interesting find. Looks fun albeit in an embarrasing way!

It is fun!  The best way I found for adults to use it is to deflate it to the point where you can sit on it and have your knees on the ground to support you instead of your feet.  But you know you could make your own "motorcycle" and just attach the handbars to whatever you rig up that can rock left and right.  The handlebars are easily detachable from the plastic motorcycle, so actually you could even just use like a wiimote and rock it back and forth.

Very nice, especially for that price. :D
