Hey guys! Kinda new to posting here, but I've been a lurker for a while, and I was wondering if you could help me. I am trying to track down every representation of the Famicom, along with its accessories and media, within the games themselves. For instance, the Famicom controller that is a bonus in Adventure Island. I am also looking for NES representations. If you know what games contain said representations and can post a screen shot, that would be great. (Or if you know of a page that already has it archived - and I've completely missed it - please let me know.) Thanks!
Welcome! I've read bits and pieces about these.
I don't know of many, but FW has three: Famicom controller in Adventure Island (http://www.famicomworld.com/Oddities/Adventure_Island_Famicom_Controller.htm) and Famicom in Mega Man VII (http://www.famicomworld.com/Oddities/Mega_Man_Famicom.htm), and Disk-kun in Family Computer Golf: US Course (http://www.famicomworld.com/Shrines/Holy_Grails_Golf_Japan_Disk.htm). There also a Famicom controller in Joy Mech Fight (http://page18.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/w26742313), to show you what buttons to push (only seen it on the handbill). And the FDS's face and some disks in' Nazoler Land Dai 2 Gou (http://www.famicomworld.com/forum/index.php?topic=766.465). That's all I know about.
If you grab any screens, I'd love to have them for the site. :)
Diskun is featured in WArioWare: Touched at some point. I don't have the game I just remember hearing about it.
EDIT: Sorry I thought we were talking about Famicom representations in any game but the title says Famicom games. Sorry for that.
There's a representation of ROB in Star Tropics:

Wasn't Disk-kun also in the Famicom Disk System game "Smash Ping-pong"?
Yes. I just booted up Smash Ping Pong and it shows Disk-kun on the title screen getting knocked out by a ping pong ball.
Journey To Silius has a picture of the Light Gun for the "Hand Gun" .
Flying Omelette:

The Miho game has a black-outlined Disk-kun in it.
Utsurun Desu shows you a picture of the Famicom controller if you press select instead of start on the title screen.

In the VS mode screen on Musashi no ken you can see a famicom controller
What about Gradius special edition where you fight a flying Famicom?
Creatom has a Famicom controller in it.

Famicom controller in Joy Mech Fight, to show you what buttons to push
If you grab any screens, I'd love to have them for the site. :)
I can get a pic if you want :)
Preference is for a ROM screenshot and not a pic, at least for the site's purposed, but for the sake of just posting it here, a pic will work.
Well here's a screen from a ROM, I'll post it here and you can do whatever with it.

ROM screens typically have a standard size. That shot looks a bit small. :-\
I didn't do anything to it, that's how it saved...
I'm using VirtuaNES..maybe that's the problem?
Looks fine to me ???
The width is correct, but the height is a little taller than mine. It's a jpg (boo) instead of a png, but it's not overly compressed.
So will it work ???
If not I can try and mess around with the settings..
Looks fine now. Maybe I was seeing something different on IE when it was posted as a link instead of an embed...sneaky edit...
I changed it from a link to an embed directly after I posted it the first time, realizing my mistake..
Then I moved it to an album, thus editing again...
But I didn't physically change the pic in anyway :D
Pescatore has a Famicom controller in it.
Touch: Triangle Mystery lets you buy a Famicom controller:

Dunno if you can buy the Famicom itself later.
I couldn't find the proper rom for it, so I had to take these crappy photos. Sorry.
The fantastic adventures of Dizzy has a NES controller even though it's on a famicom cartridge.

It's not that old. Besides, the board encourages necroposting as long as you have something relevant to post.
In Super Smash Bros Melee Disk Kun and the Famicom are trophies
^ Can you confirm the Famicom trophy? I haven't seen it anywhere.
In Super Mario Bros.: Peach-hime Kyushutsu Dai Sakusen!, Mario (in the "real world") owns a Famicom, on which he plays an unknown game.

not exactly on topic, but in Retro City Rampage, theres a picture of what looks like a Famicom Controller on the wall in the Museum. :) (http://retrocityreferences.wikispaces.com/file/view/museum.jpg/396621870/museum.jpg)
Someone mentioned the Disk-Kun in SSBM:

Found it here:

Couldn't find a Famicom trophy per se, but it does appear here on the shelf (as well as the VB! Yay!) in the trophy exhibition view:

There is a famicom controller in adventure island. Can't remember if its 1 or 2 though. I'll look later.
There's a Famicom bonus item in the original Bomberman. I can't find a screenshot, but an image of the sprite and the crazy requirements to make it appear are on this page: http://strategywiki.org/wiki/Bomberman/How_to_play
Are those in the U.S. version?
I have never seen those bonus items before. :diskkun: Ever. :o And I know why. :upsetroll:
Edit: I wonder if that Grandmother who plays Bomberman all the time found any of these? ???
Surprised that nobody mentioned this one yet - it's still my outfit of choice!!

No console - but it's still a Famicom cameo! :mario:
Ha! I took a snapshot of the same thing but never got around to posting it ;D
