Title: Has anyone ever ordered a Super Famicom from Japangamestock.com?
Post by: KEVMAN569 on July 31, 2008, 08:15:01 pm
And if so what condition did it come in?  I'm asking because I might order one from their website and since their photos are stock (and not the best photos) I don't really know what I'm getting from the picture.  Maybe you guys can help.

Pictures are always helpful too!  ;)

Never ordered a SFC game, but I have ordered a Famicom game from them. It came pretty quickly and was in the condition I expected it to be given their description.

I ordered some Famicom games from them too and came in good condition.  I'm just REAL picky with games and their boxes being mint.

Hey man,

I actually just ordered a loose Disk System from them earlier this week!  I was also wondering about how it would really look vs. what their stock photo looked like, so once it shows up (early next week? hopefully?) maybe I can give you the lowdown and some pics and whatnot.

Later!

Nevermind, shipping is more than the console itself.  :(

That's cool man... I was actually just about ready to post some pics, since my stuff actually came earlier than I thought and showed up today!  Anyway, let me know if you ever want to see... the stuff is totally pristine clean and fired right up, so I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.  Totally worthy of adding to the collection  ;D

Have a good one!

No, but I did order an FDS several months ago, which arrived in great condition and has had no problems whatsoever.

Heheh, alright then... here we go!

Here's everything right after I unpacked it... the bubblewrap was nice and tight around everything, and there was plenty of packing paper in there (mostly fun-looking Japanese ads that I can't decipher  :))

As for the gear itself, it was totally nice and clean, just like the stock pic!  I was expecting to have to take a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to it or something, but there was no reason to!

Since it's used and 20-odd years old, there's the occasional cosmetic ding on it.  Nothing terrible at all for anyone who is used to collecting old things!

Glamour Shot of the RAM Adapter

Another RAM adapter shot.  I don't think JGS cleans the contacts on the card itself before they sell it, but I suppose that it would be hard to find someone who actually would, right?  Anyway, they were only slightly dirty and, after I rubbed an pencil eraser over them, they were surprisingly good-as-new.  Sweet!

So then I fired it up and played some Metroid and Kid Icarus... very cool.  Hope all of that helped!
