I dunno, it's kinda like the worst of what mega man art could be stepped up just enought to be almost acceptable. Doesn't make me want to buy the game... Not quite craptacular, but slightly craptoriffic?
It's like the other ones, but they tried to hard on Wily.
I saw it on I-Mockery, and I guess some place was giving them away.
It reminds me of Mega Man for the NES label art....looks kinda kewl.
I think they're really trying too hard to cash in on the retro craze, and this poster only adds to it. But if it's a good game, I won't care.
It's hideous...
I would hang it up on my wall, but I would never pay more than $15 for it(if it's a full size poster at that) and even that price is pushing it. I like it but not for that kind of price :-\
I think it's awsome! It keeps with the tradditon of god awful art from the NES games.
I think it's hilarious and I desperately want a t-shirt of that.
Mega Man 9 is the last Wii game of the year I'm looking forward to.
That went for $81 on ebay?! I got a bunch of those posters free at the I am 8-bit art show.
How many is a bunch?

Here's a guy with several of them at $10 bucks each. I would hate to be the guy who just paid $80!

very cool :) pic the cyborgnized dr.willy reminded e of that guy fro Dark Rift
Yes I agree with JC. Rockman 9 would be better.
Rockman 9 wins!
Japanese version is better by ... A LOT. :o
Oh, won't somebody appreciate the irony :D
The MM9 poster is bad on purpose, and is a throwback to the awful US artwork of MM1. Of course the Rockman 9 poster is better (and more fitting to the series), but if you're selling a game by telling everyone it's like a Famicom/NES game, you might as well sell the whole experience. If they're including the sprite-flicker and slowdown of the NES games, why not include the bad artwork as well?

The Rockman poster follows the traditional Famicom art -- so it's both a throwback AND much nicer. So, according to your statement of "selling the whole experience"...they are both here and in Japan!
I actually like it, looks like they were trying to mix the styles of all the boxes. Sucky though it may be, I have fond memories of the first game's art. I remember, even back then when it was released, thinking 'who drew this?'
Wow, just... wow.
my friend has the ROCKMAN 9 poster :O
as for the MEGAMAN 9 poster.....................
Friend, like in real life?
Weird.

Who wouldn't want one?
Looks like a real old Megaman NES label... they where realy awfull.
I like the rockman picture, but that megaman poster is realy ugly. Looks like an adult man with a bad homemade robocop costume hehehehe :D
That's not a bad idea - why didn't I think of that? It's too bad I won't be home for Halloween - someone here want to give it a try? ::)
Check out the halloween costume this dude made for his kid:

Maybe that's the point - Capcom has finally realized their full potential. :P

WAT?
I had no idea that a Mega Man 9 game had been (or is being) made? Is this "official" or someone's *dream project* ??? It mentions 8-BITs, so I'd assume it's a fan made NES game? Seriously I'm in the dark on this, though I think that poster is worlds cooler than it deserves to be, considering how the original Mega Man NES cover had him as some old dude with Captain Power like armor on.

Its an official game from capcom, all 8-bit graphics. Its available now for download on Wii, Xbox 360, and PS3 for $10. And its a great game.

Oh. Thanks for clearing that up, but I was kinda hoping there'd be a tangible cart I could buy. Yet another game I'll miss out on simply because I see no point in buying any of the so called "Next Gen" systems. I should've guessed it was a *downloadable* game and not a real product. :( Guess it's cool that Capcom would even bother doing it in 8-BIT graphics though, I'm assuming it's high res (glossy) 8-BITS? Or does it retain an actual Famicom/NES "look" to it?
It looks and plays like a famicom game. :D

Yes, there's a very nice Rockman Poster. I have two of it (bought on Rockman Summer Festival). Thinking to trade with some good NES game.
This is the art, but the poster is slightly different, this image is just missing the logo.

P.S.: I didn't put a real photo because it's still on the box
