Well?

I'd have to go for three, it's one of my all time favorites, but the others are big hits with me aswell.

They're all fantastic for different reasons: SMB for being the first, SMB2j for difficulty, SMB USA for being so different, and SMB 3 for being not only so massive and having the most features, but it's the best selling stand-alone game of all-time; that's gotta count for something.

I'll say 3 because it's the most fun IMO if you have 2 people. You probably knew this, but the 2nd player can force the 1st player enter the Mario Bros. battle and vice versa. This one friend of mine can get me EVERY...SINGLE...TIME I pass over his space, really testing my MB skills so I can not only beat the minigame, but grab his cards away from him before he can get mine. Oh, the reset buttons we've pressed  ;D

I agree. Three kills the rest. It's got so much going on with it, as nespwnerer said, especially with the two player option and mini-battles. But the worlds and levels are so diverse and you hardly get bored. Plus you've got all the secrets (that are no longer secret) and the hidden levels unlocked by the genie. It's overall so awesome.

SMB3 also got my vote.

Yea, i will go with SMB3, belive it or not i was only just able to finish it the other day, but it was the NES version.

Another vote for SMB3. SMB is a close 2nd. The other two are also great games.  :)

This Poll is kind of unfair in a way, SMB3 takes the majority, if not all the votes when it goes in polls. Everyone loves SMB3, its's just so perfect in every aspect you think about it.

I wonder what everyones favourite SMB game is besides SMB3?

Super Mario USA is just so fun.

If we drop SMB3, I'd have to go with USA as well; despite the fact that's it's just a hack, it's got great gameplay, cool enemies, and some challenge. If we're allowing hacks into the debate...Fancy Mario and Fast Mario are fun takes on the original, as I imagine All Night Nippon would be, too. There's something about the overplayed SMB that turns me off. I haven't delved much into SMB2j yet.

I agree for Super Mario 3... because this is great game and I think that is the best game for NES... in 1990 it´s considerated "the most popular game in the world" of this year.. I really like them!!!

No voters for Super Mario USA/2...weird. I hear it's an underrated classic to some. I think it's very good, too.

Well, SMB2 is great, too, but it's not as great as 3, so I guess that's why it has no votes. ;) And only some 10 people voted, so statistically the pole doesn't have value yet. ;)

For some reason I like Super Mario USA more than super mario 3.

My all time fave SMB game for me it had to be Super MArio Bros 3 and heres why,

in 1985 my mother got me SMB1 as a gift as I was getting the NES system for my Bday.
in 1988 of my mother's friend got my SMB2 for Xmes.
but in 1990 I remember that day I got SMB3 like it was yesterday^_^

months before it was released Nintendo Powers was promoting SMB3 like it was the second coming of Christ  (BTW still  have thouse NP mags) and I was hooked so for the next three months I saved up the cash plus my aunt took me to Toys r Us in Brooklyn and for the first time in my live I pre-order the game, got the blue reset with my name and SMB3 title and waited for the game to be sold and what a wait at first I though I can just walk in the store and pick up the game but me and aunt had to go to the long line and waited for 30mins still I pickup the SMB3 game and I played it till I passed out and the second I woke up the next day played it some more and to me thats is why I love SMB3 now and forever.

Side story: Before me and my aunt got back from Toy r Us I show on the side of McD an ad of New SMB3 Happy Meal toys so we gone in and she got me all four toys plus a full meal^_^ TO this day I still have the toys:D

Yeah these kid's meal toys are pretty common around my place. There were a couple more toys than the ones you show in your pic. ::)

SMB 3 for sure. I still remember the night my mom came home with the cart sealed and man I ripped the seal off and couldn't wait to play it. My brother and sisters gathered up in my room to get a chance to play this great gem. Truly the best Mario game period.

I like Super Mario 2(j) & Super Mario 3

Super Mario Bros, definitely; I just never get bored of it.

I can't decide between SMB and SMB3...I didn't beat SMB3 nearly as much as I did SMB...but I still liked them both alot more than Super Mario USA...
