Title: PAL NES languages
Post by: son_ov_hades on September 06, 2008, 12:08:30 pm
I want to import some German NES games, really just because they're German. Is the on screen text still English or is it different for PAL releases. I can't think of anything cooler than playing Super Mario Bros. 3 in German.

Most of these games had english text. I'm 100% sure smb3 has this at the very least.
Most dutch games are not dutch either. However some pal exclusives may include german for example.

Damn! Do you know of any games that include German text?

Some Codemasters games are multilanguage, usually including English, French, German and Spanish.

There are several German language games. I'm not certain but I think Ufouria and Asterix have German in them. There should be more. Maybe NGD will come around.

I've been looking around for Codemasters games with German text to back up my statement, and here's one:

* Fantastic Adventures of Dizzy Version 3.0 - Language select screen including English, French and German.

Is there anything that video games can't teach us?
