Title: Does the FDS work with the AV Famicom?
Post by: PatMan33 on December 05, 2008, 09:28:39 am
Does the FDS work with the AV Famicom? Just wondering... I don't see any reason why it wouldn't but I couldn't find confirmation either way in your archives. Thanks!

Hmm...maybe this is the reason they didn't go for the rounded top design like the US version.

I had figured that rounded bump was added to the US version to give extra stability to the longer cartridges sticking out of there.

That sounds more correct. NES games are taller than Famicom and thus need the extra stability whereas even the tallest of Famicom carts do not.
