It looks like the $25 one has some kind of adapter stuck in its controller port.
What is a swap meet.

-_-' its like a HUEG lot of yard sales
Yeah, it looks like the metal pins of a controller, or something, are just stuck in the port.
Yeah I was about to mention that. Have you tried pulling it out?
Indeed, the controller plug broke and got stuck inside the controller port. Pull it out with a pair of pliers.
my dad keeps saying it looks like a factory job......it isnt?
It isn't. It's the male part of the controller plug that got stuck inside the socket.
Pull it out, it's broken controller plug pins. :D
well he got it out.....you guys where right thanks!! :D
I'd like to know more about this swap meet you went to. Was it like a flea market? I've never heard of organized garage sales.
LOL this happened to my first TG16. Dropped it off a shelf (cuz the stupid controller cord is so short) and the pin connector from the controller broke off in the port. XD

haha thats funny :D
Man I didn't think it was funny when I did it. And no pliers, I actually pulled it out w/ my fingers. Cut two cuticles doing that. XD
got one off of evilbay about a month ago had the same thing happen i just super glued it back on the controller works great!
A swap meet is like a flea market, in that people sell old junk for prices that are completely ridiculous. Sometimes you'll find great finds, like those two systems pictured above, but other times you'll mostly find an NES without any hookups and a broken flap for like $75. Being the sucker that I am, I often go when one comes around. Ya' never know.
