Post pics of your Famicom/FDS here! (Sorry mods if there is already a thread for this...you can move it if you want.)
A box...What could be inside ?

This apparently...

One of the things I noticed was that my Famicom doesn't have the FF symbol as some other ones do... any explanation?

We have two threads: What Famicom stuff do you own? (http://www.famicomworld.com/forum/index.php?topic=165.0) and Game Rooms (http://www.famicomworld.com/forum/index.php?topic=1062.0), but nothing quite like this.
So here's mine:

Wowee JC! Look at the wear on that D-Pad!
Here's mine:

You can't see it, but the gold shine on the controllers is in excellent condition! just minor scratches but no wear ;D
Here it is next to the POS TV I'm forced to use at the moment (still no luck repairing my big one :'().

I'm finally ahead of the game. This didn't require me to take any new photos!

Hey Pat, I noticed your Famicom didn't have the FF symbol either...but 133MHz's does...
AWAA!?
Mine's got a 1988 motherboard, yours should be an older model.
Well, let me pop mine open and I'll take a look. Give me a bit...
Ok, but what does this mean? Any differences in performance?
Probably nothing we'd notice. Even if there are some cheaper parts or whatever they have to design their stuff with the lowest common denominator in mind. More than likely it was just time to make more!
No, just the board layout.
Unless you've got a square button Famicom ::).
Only round buttons here...
But I've heard somewhere that the ones with that symbol have a better pin connector
http://www.famicomworld.com/Articles/Square_Button_Famicom.htm -- don't ask about the bugs. :P
My board is 1984. That was a good way to kill ten minutes. And I found a lot of dust to clean! :P
The more you know!
Is that a pic from your collection JC? The round button controllers also seem a darker red than the square ones
I've never owned a square-button Famicom...those are featherpluck's pics.
Here is a photo of mine

What's inside that display to the right of your Famicom that's so full of "Mario Madness"? ;D
Looks like my favorite console, the Super Nintendo! :D

Did you just say "pwn"?
I did no such thing!
But you do agree right?
My dearest JC, you're simply misinformed. The 8-bit era is fine... they had some cute games and some nice ideas; however, it simply cannot compare to the 16-bit era which was superior in every way. Except, I suppose, the 8-bit era and the Famicom did have so many more interesting problems.

That's the AV Famicom. It's exactly like the NES, only it is made for 60-pin carts and the FDS. You're probably thrown off by the controller...the AV Famicom can use NES controllers because of the controller ports being the same as the NES.
And the NES Zapper doesn't work out of the box (you need to solder two wires on the board to get it working).

But the Sharp twin gets the more use

So, how do you like that penguin famiclone I see in the pic?
It was junk, until I modified the video output amplifier and reversed the A,B buttons on the wireless controller...Now works great!...

Nope I have one and they're exactly the same color. Too bad I busted mine last year by trying to make a controller for the expansion port. :'(

Mario is locked up in there! Actually there are some consoles in there that I have for display.

I've actually had this pic in my sig for quite some time now, but I thought it would be appropriate to post it here! :D That is one crappy famicom and a refurb fds. Since I took this pic, I've also acquired the fds version of kid Icarus.

Looks a bit dusty ;)
Here's my Fami and Fami + FDS along with the intial batches of games I got for each. Currently I'm up to 19 carts and 7 disks (counting the fact that I have both a sealed and loose copy of Doki Doki Panic). The Famicom was posed for these photos. Its usual residence is pulled out underneath my coffee table so I can easily play it.

Expect A pic of my room with my current game collection.
