It's not called Spy vs Spy 2.  Look for "Nankoku Shirei!! Spy vs. Spy" or "Spy vs. Spy (J)".

oh ok, so the us version of spy vs spy was not released in japan?

Right, the NES and FC Spy vs Spy games are two completely different games.  I have an old NES "hints and cheats" type book somewhere that shows screenshots from the FC version.  I don't know if they were planning to release it or what.

yes, they were planning to release it in the US.  i wonder if anyone ever found a prototype?

You know what, I was wrong.  The NES version of Spy vs Spy was released on the FC.  The FC had two games and the NES only has one.
