This game has a "Continue" option on the title screen, but it involves a password. I haven't been able to find any passwords on Google, and I'd really like to find some to put at the bottom of this walkthrough I'm making. Thanks for any help.
There's already a full English walk through for that game.
Oh..
well...
passwords...that's what I want :D
Try some of those:

Thanks Manuel! I'll try these out in a bit. :)
Is this game even any good?
It looks hard to play without a knowledge of Japanese, and there are those parts that it expects you to use the microphone on the second controller.
You can just press A+Down on the D-Pad instead of using the microphone if that is your preference. Plus, as Hades said, there is a full English walkthrough for this game. It is quite fun actually. In one part, you have to...do nothing for an hour!! (Or for 5 minutes :P) Some parts are hard though, such as the hang gliding part in which you can't glide up unless you fly on a gust of wind
Hm, I used the walkthrough, but I died when I had to go buy a ticket to the South Pacific. :P
Seems like a fun game, though.
I thought the alternative to using the microphone was pressing the A button on the second controller.
Well yes, you have to press A+Down on controller II to activate it, from there on, you just press the A button on controller II whenever you want to use the microphone
I saw a speed run of it on Youtube. It's two parts
Part One (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkQOVEyK0Tw&feature=related)
Part Two (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6tz42SDx1I&NR=1)
Interesting to note, you can also skip directly to the ending by throwing 20,000 punches on the title screen.
Good thing some controllers have turbo.... :D
I don't even think the turbo would punch that fast...
It doesn't matter how fast you punch, since Takeshi can only punch so fast in the game, so with turbo, it would still take over 2 1/2 hours
Turbo controller + a piece of scotch tape + patience == WIN
Good way to kill a few hours, I guess. :P
I hate when games use that "don't touch the controller" crap, mainly because you're never sure about how long to wait unless you read a walkthrough.
Watching some たけしの挑戦状 commercials on YouTube I got to read a commentary that said 'the commercials themselves are hints'; and the next commercial I saw showed Takeshi screaming 'Demo!' into the microphone in the famous "don't do anything for one hour" scene, and it makes the map instantly appear on screen! :o :o :o
Anyone care to try it out? ::)
People who have the game should definitely try that.
Nice idea to give out hints over cms.
Well, they usually tell you in-game, this one just happens to be in Japanese :D (But they don't tell you anyway, because that's part of the difficulty of the game)
And yeah, if I'm not doing anything, I might as well sit in front of a TV and press a single button 20,000 times for almost 3 hours to see an 8-bit representation of an 80s Japanese comedian multimedia icon comedian congratulate me on pressing a button and then ask me why I'm still sitting here watching him ask me why I'm still sitting here xD
Actually, he's screaming "Come Out!"
Will screaming anything into the mic work, or even just using the second controller D-pad method?
Oh, and this game sold as much as Dragon Quest. Pretty good for a game made by someone who hated games.

He's not really a comedian from my understanding. You should watch some of his movies, they're awesome. I recommend Battle Royale.

You obviously found the walkthrough :D
And yes, simply blowing into the mic (In rhythm mind you) will work. the D-Pad method works just the same. You know you input it correctly because then, everytime you press A, Takeshi will make a little yellow speech bubble..I don't know what it says..but that indicates you "noised" into the mic :P
Game center CX did an episode on this game:

Amazing how one game can have such a history.
I wish they would just subtitle and release that show in America already, they already put a fake ad in the DS game's manual. >:(
I love that show! He's so determined to beat the games! I watched a couple other episodes too. They're very fun(ny) to watch :D

He actually IS a comedian. He can be quite funny.
Really? He's a regular renaissance man eh?
Yeah, he's so intelligent; he puts his high scores as "SEX" when he goes to arcades. :P
We're talking about Beat Takeshi...not the guy on GC CX :D
Oh... They're both comedians.
Lots of people put SEX as their initials on arcade machines. ;)
Not that I'd ever have... *goes away whistling*
Any other info on the other three games he had based off of him?
Oh, and a remake of this game on the DS would be awesome. Seriously, imagine it.
2.5D graphics, using the mic to sing karaoke, as well as using flying the glider. :P
I think there were only two others, but I could be wrong..
And yeah! With the DS' capabilities, it would be that much better! :P
