Which one's your favorite ?
SP! :) ;) :D ;D
Clamshell opening to protect the screen, small, battery-chargeable, & totally backwards compatible! :o
I like the gameboy color the best. Man back in 1998 the gameboy with color was the shit!
GBC; first GB I got...played it endlessly :)
ah yes so many awesome games for it. I liked it a lot because it somehow reminded me of the NES.
The Game Boy light is the best but since that's not an option I voted original.
Oops.
I forgot that one!
GBC? I dont know any good games for it... mario allstars and pokemon gold... more? Gameboy advance is the best for me. I think the SP is ugly
GBA SP, and more specifically
the FAMICOM GBA SP limited edition.
It's just a great little system, though I've
taken to playing GBA games on my NDS Lite.

My vote is for the 2005 Model GBA SP 2.0. The one with the backlit screen and a level of brightness even beyond that.
/\ This would be my vote if that was the case. I've never played an SP, but one that plays GBA with backwards capability and a lighted screen would be the best (GBA for CV games). I don't like the DS (though I guess that may not go by the GB moniker). Though my only fond memories of the gameboy were of the original as a kid--Tetris and Balloon Kid most notably.
gameboy pocket for me
GBA SP backlit, no contest. It plays three generations of Gameboy games on a big hand-held screen, what's not to love?
SP, absolutely. Plays all the Game Boy games all the way back to Tetris, and the compact clamshell design, backlight and built in rechargeable battery are huge improvements over previous models.
My favorite edition of the game boy is the GBA SP!!! Specifically the Nes version. 8)
I like the gba sp model 1. Model 2 doesn't look as nice when it's switched off. And I don't use the backlight so it's no loss to me. gba sp is the perfect size, weight, battery life, game selection, etc, etc
I didn't realize there were two models of the GBA SP...they all look the same to me :D
The first SP was front lit, later they were back lit
aha! I'm looking for a backlit one....man I can't seem to find one.
The backlit model is much much nicer. Its exactly the same, except that the frontlight button toggle switch now toggles between normal brightness and a super brightness. Because its backlit, even the default brightness is much brighter and more vivid than the frontlit SP. By comparison, it uses the same LCD technology as the GBA Micro, which in turn is an improved DS Phat screen.
The OG and Micro
Gameboy light and SP are the best ones! ;D
Why not the advance? I love the advance!

Well I hope I get it right the third time. I can't keep buying SPs forever man! So far I bought the NES edition one and the red one but none have the backlit thing. Maybe I should go to Gamestop and test each of the SPs they have there. I don't feel good paying 40 dollars for one though.....

The advance is the first version of the SP...the SP is more compact, plays all the games the Advance does, has a light-up screen, and comes in more variety.
I remember I got my first model GBA with Super Mario Advance when it was fairly new. I was a little disappointed with the non-backlit screeen so I bought a small light to be able to play in the dark but it drained batteries like mad. Then I remember reading about the Afterburner kit (basically a true backlight for your GBA). It required taking apart your GBA, cutting some plastic and soldering some wires. I wanted to get one of those so bad, but then the GBA SP came out and my GBA was stolen shortly afterwards :'(.
If I had quite a bit of money to spare I'd buy another GBA and install an Afterburner kit, just for the cool factor of owning a backlit original GBA :).
ah that would be pretty kewl.
After Burner? You plan on shooting jets with your GBA? :)
Seriously, though. SP. Compact, light, all GB/C/A games, lit up screen, and rechargable batteries.
Afterburner!
Damn Sony.
I was going to buy one of those and a bunch of other stuff from Lik-Sang. :(
Yeah. Sony sucks because they had Lik-Sang closed. I wanted to by pirate Famicom carts...
...I don't think they sold those.
Hm. Well, Lik-Sang still sounds better than PlayAsia.
GBA SP of course,in PINK AND SILVER PLEASE!! ;D
