How many games are there for Legend of Zelda ? Were they released officially on a famicom carts ? Can I see pictures for the game(s) ?
I'm not sure what you mean by your first question, do you mean how many games there are total or how many versions of just the Legend of Zelda.
There is a famicom cart of Legend of Zelda that I found on JGS, and according to people on here, it's the same as the american release (no microphone use)
Here's a link for that item... I don't know how to attach a pic directly onto a message: http://www.japangamestock.com/buy_video_games.php?products_id=7723
Hope this helps.
Here's all the official versions of Legend of Zelda I'm aware of:
FDS (boxed retail)
FDS (Disk Writer)
Famicom cart (green)
NES original release (gold)
NES classic series (gray)
And there's a couple of versions of the test cart for that game for NES. I saw it on ebay not too long ago, it was an orange cart.

I mean how many parts ?.....For example there are 4 games for Adventure Island !
.............and thank you for the information !!!!
EDIT: Fixed the double post. --JC
There is only Legend of Zelda and Zelda II. Zelda III was a thought for the NES/Famicom, but it was made on the SNES. There is no Zelda III on just the Famicom like Adventure Island 4 if that is what you are asking.

So, 2 games were released for the famicom.....
Thanks for the answer ;)
don't forget the yellow test cart! :D
I think he may have met just on the Famicom...
But yes, the test cart is cool, too! :D
I was just wondering if anyone knew if either of the FDS zelda games had ever been translated

They were released in America so I'd assume so!
Well, yes and no. Both games of course were translated and released for the NES and both were incredibly successful in North America (despite the fact a lot of people like to call Zelda II the "black sheep" Zelda) however both games had their FDS expansion audio removed for hardware limitation reasons and true translations of the FDS games has never been done.
I know personally I would love to play Zelda II FDS in English.
Don't forget these versions:
Japanese Club Nintendo Zelda Collection for the Gamecube and these versions
Zelda Collection Zelda 1 and 2 NES versions
Animal Forest NES Famicom Disk Zelda 1
Animal Crossing Famicom Disk Zelda 1
Doboutso no Mori + Famicom Disk Zelda 1
Doboutso no Mori e+ Famicom Disk Zelda 1
speaking of which, has anyone ever seen a pirate Zelda cart? i know it'd require a battery and all, but pirate japanese rpgs with batteries seem to be quite common in taiwan. and it seems odd that such a popular game isn't that widely pirated. Same goes for Metroid for that matter.
Metroid isn't popular in Asia, and to my knowledge no Zelda pirate exists. That is indeed a little odd now that you mention it.
That looks nice. I love the color of the cart.
It would be nicer, though if the pirates added the title of the game. Without a title it looks so unfinished.

I own a Zelda II pirate cart. The label is very well made but it's an obvious pirate because the ID# is from Legend of Zelda and it's pink. It even comes in a really cool box with screenshots on the back. For once, the pirates weren't lazy. I've seen Legend of Zelda carts with the same kind of label. I'll post pics later.
Please do. Good looking pirates interest me considering how low the quality usually is.
