Post by: Jabra on April 26, 2009, 10:27:07 am
Does anyone know anything about this game ? Is it official or a hack or ported from another system ?

That looks like the game Darkwing Duck (very much like a MegaMan game).  I'm pretty sure it is a DD hack.

EDIT:  Having looked again at DD, I can say it is definitely a Darkwing Duck hack.

Yes, I have that one. It's actually pretty cool to play.

If I ever got one and it played as smooth as the actual DD cart, then I'd probably sell my Darkwing Duck and keep the Rock Man pirate.

Sorry for the double post, but I do see what seller has this as I check what he lists somewhat often (despite his high shipping cost [I have yet to buy from him, but he often has pirates for sale)--originally I didn't know if you owned it or not until I recently checked his listings.  I would say that this game is not worth the $25 shipped cost at all if you were considering it (I'd pay $10 shipped at most on it myself).  Though the Darkwing Duck game is worth giving a shot.

Tough to say. I considered buying it at that price. I've never seen it for sale, other than the label-less one I've got. I don't think it's worth that price, but it is hard to find.

No doubt there is always the possibilty that someone will pick it up for that, but the way I see it is that Darkwing Duck is a good enough game on it's own as a Mega Man clone--there are enough Mega Man games on the NES as is without the hack.  I agree that it would be a cool hack to have, but don't think it should be worth much more than a Darkwing Duck.  I just don't think it is all that "Special."

Medisinyl

Sorry for the late reply....

This game I found on ebay ( I don't have it) I was thinking of buying it because I thought it is a game ported from the Super Famicom (like Super Mario World) but when you told me that it is just a hack of another game I stopped watching it.....
