Cool. I'll wait until someone dumps it, though. Then I'll pirate it.
Uhh, hopefully that wont happen as the person who made this put a great deal of effort into making the game :-[ . Please support the homebrew community, it takes alot of time, effort, and costs to produce new NES games like this so you are really hurting someone when you pirate a homebrew game. This is not a reproduction created from a prototype, it is a new game created and coded from scratch!
Anyone who wants to support the homebrew community will get the real deal. Even if somebody dumps the cart and the ROM file is available for free on the Internet, it won't make a difference IMO. ROM files have no value, cartridges do.
The target audience for this game are retro gaming enthusiasts and collectors (in other words, people who value this guy's work), not freeloaders/warez junkies. They won't download the ROM as a means to play the game for free.
I've bought several items from ReroUSB in the past and they are a great company to deal with. Sadly Frogger isn't for me but I'm sure something on the site will tempt me into buying, it usually does.
Edit. Spoke too soon already interested in that Uforce games cartridge ;D
Sounds good!!!!
But seriously...support these homebrew people...you never know what they may bring out next!
it's like 133 said.
That green cart fits it really well. It looks neat, but I don't think I'd spend $50 on it.. :-\
But Retrozone is a great place. They do have some pretty cool games. I think it's great he puts so much time and effort into all of this. So far, I've only bought two games from him, and I haven't played one yet, because it wouldn't work on my clone, so hopefully it will work on my Famicom once I get my converter. But they're get to deal with, they've replied to all my emails I've sent. I just think they charge a bit too much for some of their games sometimes. :)
It's a little pricey so I'll have to skip it. I do agree with what 133mhz said. I know a lot of people have bought it because they are NES fanboys and all....
Why the hell would someone pirate this? ??? If someone was just going to play frogger on a pc, they'd be better off with mame. ::) The whole point of having a nes frogger is to play it on the actual hardware! hahaha. However, $48 for a freaking frogger? lmao. How much work can go into frogger? It's like an atari game. :D
But I don't have an NES. I have a Famiclone, but not an adapter.
$50...yikes. You can get Hwang Shinwei's version for the Famicom on multicarts for less than $10 usually.
Wow! Hwang Shinwei made a Frogger game for the FC? :o
And I thought I've seen every one of his games :(

But you are paying for a brand new cartridge, board etc Its not just the program on some old slap happy cart ::) The guy behind all this actually pays a company to build the cartridges from scratch.

No pics of a multi with it on jbholio's site, but I've got it on a multi.

Hwang Shinwei is a guy. RCM is the "company" that publishes his games.
Hm. I may need to look at his work a bit differently, then.
I also thought it was the name of a company.
So that's one guy programming all that stuff? :o Wow.
I feel the same way. Boy, unlicsned video games are weirder than I thought.
Gawd why do they always make skanky labels and ugly translucent carts, they look cheap.
Actually, Happy Camper had awesome art but still nasty cart plastic. I wish they used oblique carts.
Yeah, a solid green cart would've looked much better. But they do it so dumbasses don't go on eBay and say they found an ultra rare green cart.

Do You mean opaque?
Heh. I was gonna ask the same thing.
I was going to draw an oblique (deformed) NES cart, but laziness won.
Haha, that reminds me of the time my friend mixed up the words "deprived" and "depraved"... while talking to a teacher.
