Enjoy all the free candy you guys get. :)
I'll be at home giving candy out.
I always enjoyed Halloween when I was a kid. It's fun seeing the little tikes in their little costumes. :D Happy Halloween, all!
I know Jedi's dressing up tonight. What is/was everyone who donned a costume?
bah humbug....least favorite holiday. :-\
They let us dress up at work today, so I came as Jason, minus the weapon.. Had a mask on, gray gloves, flannel shirt, blue jeans, shoes.
It was a tough choice between that and the "Big Daddy" pimp costume at Spencer's.
I work in the Deli at my local Wal-Mart, and we can't wear anything that would be a contamination issue behind the counter. :-[ They were giving away a day off with pay to the best costume, and I could have entered as long as I changed before starting work, but I just could not come up with anything.
At one point, I thought about cutting out a cardboard front and back in the shape of Disk-Kun, and painting it yellow with big black outlines. I was even going to bend cardboard around the edges filling in the space between the two sides, making a solid Disk-Kun, but that would disallow the use of my arms, and I am too tall to find any solid piece of cardboard that is tall enough, and wide enough to keep the proper aspect ratio. I am 6' 7". Maybe next year.
Hahaha. :D That would be cool. I'd dig seeing a giant, walking Disk-kun. I wonder if Nintendo had one made for promotional use.
If you were to send a picture to Nintendo of Japan if you had made the costume, they would love it. ;D
You know what, I think that I will make the costume for next year. I am not a quitter, if I want to do something bad enough, I will make sure that it gets done! Speaking of which, my step-down converter should be here sometime next week hopefully, so that I can finish my review on my 20-in-1 FAMICOM pirate. I am also working on a NES controller to FAMICOM expansion port adapter. All I need is a 15-pin joystick plug, and I am done!

I am not a quitter...
You know what happened to the last guy who said that on television?

Who? ..and what?
[Removed]
"I have never been a quitter. To leave office before my term is completed is abhorrent to every instinct in my body. But as President, I must put the interest of America first....Therefore, I shall resign the Presidency effective at noon tomorrow. Vice President Ford will be sworn in as President at that hour in this office."
"I am not a crook!" :P
Got that right...Nixon embodied the opposite of the words he spoke. Not a quitter, meant he was a quitter, and not a crook, well, meant he was a crook. Funny how politicians do that.
He WAS such a great president though...brought our troops out of Vietnam and got us talking to China again. The only reason why he wiretapped was because he was paranoid of losing...he got very depressed when he FIRST lost to Kennedy...
He was nuts! Simply and undoubtedly nuts! I love the story about how, nearing the end of his administration, he went on a midnight walk on the National Mall and ended up babbling incoherently with some college students at the Lincoln Memorial. Or, how he had Kennedy's White House swimming pool filled with cement so he could bowl. Or better yet, all those tapes that show how much of a bigot he was. But yeah...I know what you mean, JL...he had a bunch of great policies both domestic and foreign, which were largely hoisted upon him by the very liberal, anti-war nature of the early 70s. Nixon gave us the Kitchen Debate and the EPA, but he also gave us the Plumbers.
He became "nuts" because basically of the loss to Kennedy, which many people believe was a VERY SHADY election, having to do with the mafia/mob and such, but there's billions of articles out there about it, so you'll have to look it up. I've forgotten the whole backstory, but word is that Kennedy was very popular with the mafia/mob, and they influenced his winning of the 1960 Presidency. When the rumor was told to Nixon, his paranoia became even worse. I'm not entirely sure that the whole story is true, and each article I've read was taken with tablespoons of salt, but considering the way Nixon acted, I wouldn't be shocked if he thought it were to be true.
Ah another Halloween day is here and it's time to take a look at the most scariest video game titles around. I find Resident Evil for the psx scary up to this day as well as silent hill. Back in the days everything scared me....muahahahahhaahahah
What are some of your scary titles? 8)
Doom!!!
It scared the shit out of me 12 years ago and it scares the shit out of me today :D.
Play at night, turn off the lights and wear headphones... OMG they could be around the corner!!... I hear them!!! :o
nothing....I repeat NOTHING is as scary as playing the Resident Evil remake alone at night with the lights out. That game freaks me out even when nothing's happening!
Hmm...I can't think of a game that scared me much. Guess that's because I've never played Doom or Resident Evil. I've played too much Bubble Bobble. :-[

Hmm, maybe I'll play Splatterhouse tonight. Seems appropriate enough. :P
Just got back from candying.
Me and my friend were both Albert Wesker from Resident Evil series.
Nobody knew who we were.
Any pics of your costumes?

ill have a pic of me in my mario costume soon lol
hahha mario costume awesome. I saw a pikachu today when I went to give out candy at my inlaws house. After that me and some friends went to eat out at a sports bar dressed up in our costumes lol. Good times.
Since I'm still here in Iraq, I'm just going to be a Marine - guess that's scary if you're an enemy. 8)
I was a Jedi the last two years - my pic <-
Halloween is only big in stores here in Japan. Basically every decoration is now Halloween-themed, i.e. orange and black.
Except that, not much is going on. :)
I had a lot of work today (translating an operating manual for a soldering station), so I almost forgot it's Halloween.
They don't even show the Halloween movies on TV here. :D
Happy Halloween dudes! I went trick-or-treating this year, haven't done it in a looong time! lol. :D
;D
happy hallowenn from portugal to the rest of the world
Awesome pumpkin Christine! Happy Halloween to all, but this thread shouldn't go here.
Happy Halloween guys!
My sister-in-law made a Bob-omb costume for my nephew. It's awesome.
Bah! I had no plans this year. Maybe next year.
I ran around the village all day with like 7 other guys. >_> Some cop was like "FUCK" because we were walking behind the D&W(supermarket), which is the only way to get home without walking along the fucking highway XD So we had to walk home along the highway. Still a good night otherwise.
Why did the cop care that you were behind a super market? :P Especially in the great village of Caledonia?
Because "YOU CAN'T BE BEHIND A BUSINESS IF IT'S CLOSED"
"YOU JUST CAN'T DO THAT"
XD
Edit: WAIT WHAT THE FUCK
THE D&W WASN'T EVEN CLOSED
>_>
Brought a TV into the main room, played some SNES and handed out candy... only 5 times, did I have to answer the door... I'm shocked.
That sounds likea good halloween if ive ever heard one.
Yeah, it was good, Killer Instint, mario all-stars, Top Gear 3000 & more, what more could I ask for? ;D
I hope castlevania IV was somewhere in that lineup!
No... Don't own that one... it was all up to my brothers mainly on what to buy back then, I was too young ;)

I basically did that except there were no kids trick or treating so I just played Kirby Super star, Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World, Vectorman and I played Akumajou Denetsu on my Famicom since it was Halloween.
Happy Halloween!!! Did anyone else carve a pumpkin?
If I had the time to carve anything, I'd carve a barrel into this: dkwiki.com/Ghost_Barrel (https://www.dkwiki.com/images/thumb/3/36/Ghost_Barrel_-_Donkey_Kong_Country_3.png/250px-Ghost_Barrel_-_Donkey_Kong_Country_3.png)
Speaking of DKC3, these guys always freaked me out until I figured out what they really were: dkwiki.com/Knocka (https://www.dkwiki.com/images/b/b7/Knocka_-_Donkey_Kong_Country_3.png)
Now I really wanna make that a Halloween costume.
By the way, nice Jack-o-Lant, MaxXimus! Looks kinda like Bowser.
Thanks! I sort of thought he looked like PsyCrow from Earthwork Jim. :D
