Title: Scribblenauts
Post by: PatMan33 on June 07, 2009, 08:16:58 pm
Anyone heard of Scribblenauts? No? Let me explain!

Your goal is to get from point A to point B. In order to accomplish this goal, you have been given the ability to summon whatever you can think of to help! Still confused? Watch this video. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNsYhQVAAuo) And if you're skeptical of just what Scribblenauts is capable of... read this testimonial (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=16184727&postcount=217).

The downside to this would be that the game doesn't have every single word programmed into it, or an action.  Looks nice, but something tells me it would have flaws.

/\ First that, and people would have to use proper spelling. I bet over half of the players wouldn't get what they want because they spell the words wrong.  :P

It has a kind of spell-check built into it.  Gameplay videos show a "did you mean...?" menu that pops up after you type in an invalid word.

With any luck it'll be connected to a database that you can download new words from! Maybe even a suggestion form.

Looks interesting, but I feel like once the novelty wore off it'd get annoying.

It gets annoying fast when all the obscene words you're trying are not recognized.  :P

What would happen if you wrote "Chuck Norris" on the bottom screen?   ::)

It probably scolds you for repeatedly posting internet memes.

I was thinking about something more along the lines of beating the game instantly.

I wonder if any other historical or religious figures are in the game.

I want to make Hitler fight with Jesus.

I wonder what would happen if you typed in swear words or sex objects.   ;)

Nothing, It said in an article that they aren't included in the game.

:(

I'm gonna experiment with every common object I see.  This game looks good.

EDIT:

Quotefamous people (both fictional and real), vehicles, household objects, and even internet memes.

Holy crap, internet memes!?  Chuck Norris could actually be in the game!

He's a meme, too.  Don't forget that, now.

EDIT: I wonder if Arnold Schwarzenegger is in this game as well...

As long as we're at it, I'm hoping for Jackie Chan or Bruce Lee.
