so, anyone planning on lining up on the 18th or anyone already got a Wii preorder?
I'll be lining up at the local Best Buy on the 18th and freezing my effing ass off. I know theyre saying there's gonna be enough for everyone, but I have a feelign theres gonna be line ups, especially here in Chicago.

Not as bad as the KMart and Best Buy here. KMart is only getting TWO PS3's, and Best Buy 8. No idea on the Wii's status, but it'll be impossible...
Impossible to get a Wii??? No way man...every best buy is getting at least 24. If you live near one thats busy a lot, supposedly those are getting 100. You might even have a chance of getting a Wii if you show up 9AM Sunday. Remember, Theres going to be about 10 times the amount of Wii's at launch compared to PS3. Although I'm kicking myself now for not waiting on a line. I could have quadrupled my money.
Yeah, that'd be okay if there weren't people lined up ALREADY.
Yeah, and I'm not going to waste my time sitting in line for hours to only learn that they're sold out...

i MIGHT get one.. though im really debating if having a console system is worth it when my computer is 5 feet away from the gaming TV...
Question about the Wii. When it says that it's "internet ready out of the box", does that mean it's automatically connected to the internet when you turn it on?

That'd be quite cool, actually. I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't mean anything.
Well, I did read that it connects via a LAN-something or other (can't remember the word) or from a wireless router.
Heading over to my local Best Buy at midnight to scope it out. I drove by at 2PM and saw one dude waiting in a chair. I spoke to the manager and he said that they were getting at least triple the amount of PS3's they got (which was 30). So if at midnight theres 50 people in line, then I'm gettin on. Otherwise ill prolly go back home and swing by at 3AM and just wait out the 5-6 hours. Luckily I live about 10 minutes from the nearest Best Buy. Wish me luck!

Haven't gotten a Wii yet, but has anybody experienced the dreadful error to where you can't connect online to the Wii?
Actually the first thing i did out of the box was connect to the wiconnect24. It searched for wireless connections and found six, one of which was a perfect signal and unlocked. Oh yeah, I don't have wireless in my place! Shhh...it's a secret to everybody! ;D
I wimped out an ordered the WII on ToyRUS site. I had to get it for me. I mean for the kids for christmas. I have to test it out to make sure it works. I can't wait till christmas. I mean the kids can't wait...

My little bro finally got lucky and picked up a Wii today. I usually don't like these newer consoles, but this one, I must say, is really fun. :) Even my dad was into it. I hated Zelda, however...those damn RPGs (don't even) are so boring. :P
I got my Wii about two weeks ago, after standing in line outside Circuit City for about an hour and a half.
