Title: Super Mario Bros IV Alternative Label
Post by: NintendoKing on June 25, 2009, 11:02:29 pm
I designed this label as an alternative to the
uncreative label currently on mine and all other copies of
Super Mario Bros IV.

I would love to get this made,
as I tire of the horrible label SMB IV has.

What do you think of it?

I was inspired by SMB 3 cart label
and the original SMB IV label.

Here's a bigger pic:

It's basically the Super Mario Land label without Mario.

EDIT* Better pics

pft :P Why'd they do that for? We'll get sued if we use Mario or his name, but everything else is OK.

I'm looking up gameplay pics.

For Jedi, and anyone else who hasn't seen it:

It actually kind of reminds me of SMB3, with the map and everything.  It looks like it could be a legit sequel to a person who doesn't play classic Mario a whole lot.

Yeah, I saw it - it's Armadillo. :)

OMG that's Fortran. :(

Fortran is funny.  I wish pirates would make a game that involved Fortran and Weegee.  It would be the greatest pirate ever.

My design is way better looking, I would love my cartridge to have my label instead.

Also SMB IV has Fortran and in 2 player mode also has Weegee.

Well, not technically, since they just stole sprites from SMB3, Fortran would need to be distinctly different from Mario, and Weegee would need different eyes than Luigi :P

Marios shoes in SMB IV are pink, and Luigi is dark green with pink shoes.

I'm sure he was making a joke :P

As for the label, it looks more clean then the original one, that's for sure.

Hey, Uninvited Gremlin, our labels have different foreign text on them. :o  The text over IV isn't the same as what's on yours.

This is Fortran.  Don't look directly at him.

Oh, I didn't see UG's post.  I didn't know there were label variations of this particular pirate.  Cool! :D

Label variants and case style variants,
possibly different companies copied each other realizing it was a cool pirate?

Technically the game has Miotran.

On the title screen, anyway.  In the actual game, it's more like Fortran/Mario

Yes unfortunately the title screen is a bit confusing as it shows Miotran when the game doesnt actually have Miotran anywhere else.
