Title: Atari 5200
Post by: Flip on August 17, 2009, 03:12:04 am
One day while looking at the controller ports of my Atari 5200, I realized that they looked similar to the Famicom's expansion port. Does anybody know if it will work if you use a Famicom controller(such as the Hudson or Hori ones) on a Atari 5200? I would test it myself using my Hudson controller, but I don't have the switchbox for my Atari 5200 so I can't test it.

I don't know, but you could try it the other way round. Try using a 5200 controller on your Famicom. If that works, it possibly is ok the other way round, too. Maybe not... I'm not good with tech stuff.

AFAIK it won't work (of course i can be wrong) - just like a joystick from Atari XL/XE on a Famiclone and vice versa (both have same DB9 plugs).
