This will be my official thread for sales so as to avoid constantly making new topics over and over. Here's what I've got for sale at the moment.
I only accept Paypal, and shipping is not included in prices. I also usually don't hold stuff for anyone unless it was something previously discussed in PM and I bought it for them specifically. Everything is also sold on a first come first serve basis, as in whoever messages first gets priority, as long as they don't bail out. Else it's off to the next in line. Please understand this.
-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------------
All games are always tested and never sold if not working. Due to the nature of these games however, they are all sold AS-IS. Specifically for boxed Famicom games, the make quality can vary, with the covers sometimes not being perfectly fitted around the case or possibly a small crack somewhere. I can't be held responsible for any glitches that may happen in game also, as that's an inherent game problem and I only test to make sure the game works.
If anyone has any requests for any items feel free to PM and I may be able to help you locate it. No guarantees though, and if I do find it I would have to request that you pay in advance in order to assure I won't be wasting my money(as anyone can guess, this stuff isn't exactly cheap). Otherwise if I'm left with a promised payment that will take over a month or so I may end up just putting the item up in this thread for sale. Again, please be understanding of my situation here.
Thanks everyone! ;)
Ya, I know. I didn't pay much less than that though. Plus, you don't see this game pop up often, if ever. I'm guessing I may not come across another copy immediately, maybe some day in the future. It's not a priority to buy it if my friend does find it again though to be honest, since there's more stuff I'm after and I dunno how many people really want this game :P
Besides, that 15 level Super Mario World for Famicom goes for $60 doesn't it? :D
Actually, I think it goes for around $40.
If Bramsworth doesn't have any help (outside of strangers), I don't blame him for the prices. These sketchy for-commission people always jack up the price for items. I wouldn't be surprised if his margins are really slim even not counting shipping.
Thanks for the support :D
After this last package I haven't been buying anything that should sell past $50 since it's been too expensive getting these Mario's in the last two. I'm starting to see the appeal in cart only stuff now :P
I want that Mario ;D
And it's sold ;)
Only the Zelda's and Samurai left!
BTW I noted a chipped off corner in the box for one Zelda. No idea how I didn't notice that sooner.
pm. :D
Well, the Samurai Shodown will be back for sale at the end of the day if the guy doesn't pay me. I hate it when they suddenly disappear after giving you their address and all, as if you're supposed to just send it without payment or something :-\
I'll waiting for. :D
Check your PM :P
Samurai's sold. Let this be a lesson to people that if a thread says I can't afford to hold stuff...well, I can't afford to hold it :P Boggles me how one second this guy was sending me mails back and forth yet once I give my paypal and ready for payment...gone. :-\
Better get used to that. That happens a lot. ;)
Heh. Well if someone misses a chance I end up getting another copy anyways if they really want it. Not uncommon that they suddenly got it elsewhere or don't want it anymore though..
BTW I took a real bad video with my cell of Zelda.

Need Quicktime installed to play it. I just used Media Player Classic. Surely someone is interested in buying it? :P It's all that's left now :)
Looks like I must have beaten you to the punch on this one. (^_^); I had 20 units, all sold/reserved.
We're enemies now >:(
J/K :P Guess I'll have to lower my price a bit maybe to get more attention or something. I don't mind keeping one copy though, just as long as I sell the other :P
Hopefully you didn't pay too much for them. I know commision deals can sometimes cost a small fortune :/
Everything's sold finally. Next time you'll be seeing a permanent topic for anything I get, since making a new topic each time might not be the best thing to do if I get stuff within short spans of time from another.
This is my perma topic now for sales. No more new thread each time :P Anyways, my connection has been really crappy and keeps going off after five minutes of being on. This is amongst the HOURS it isn't on(I've gone the last 3 days with only being connected to the net at least 30 minutes total before it craps out). Thus, I can't promise immediate responses if I anyone messages me.
Bump.
Mickey's up for sale as the potential buyer can't pay for it until around Christmas, and while I hate being a Scrooge, I really can't afford to hold stuff, as I've pointed out before.
I really hate doing this :/ Blame all the people who think it's OK to just vanish when they just got my paypal address.
Edit: Squirrel King sold :) I also edited out that nasty message at the threads opening. Just because some people in the past have given me bad experiences, I don't wanna make it look like I'm a demon just because one person didn't have enough money and actually gave me a reason instead of vanishing altogether :P
Bump
New items added everyone!
wanna see screen shot for dragonball MD. :P
*cries because he has no money*
NEED PIKACHU (zombie voice)
As I said on Aseembler, my Genesis is away so getting it out again is kinda a hassle. This Youtube video does about as good a job as I can to show it though
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=182a6Vg7JT0
If anyone wants Famicom shots though I can sorta try to take those(really shitty cell phone though). Only system I have up right now.
PM. ;D
If I could only understand the language... :(
Sometimes half the fun is trying to play it even if you don't understand it. At least, that's what I used to do when I was younger before I learned any languages. Fun experience IMO :P
I imagine Pokemon would be easiest to get along in without understanding the text. I played the game for a couple of hours and it seems to follow the original Pokemon Yellow pretty closely, though I only got up to the first gym.
Only tested Naruto for 10 min or so, but I'm pretty certain it's based on the exact same engine as Chrono Trigger. So if you can get around in that one, you can play this one too..I guess.
Harvest Moon, that's probably the one that requires you to know what you're doing the most I'm guessing. Though according to Rinkaku's site it's a port of a GB game. Maybe it's possible to follow a guide for the original then, I'll have to check that out. Been meaning to see exactly how faithful that port is actually.
I have the gb harvest moon. That doesn't look like it. The gb version doesn't let you even walk outside your farm! That looks like a SNES conversion.
I looked around a bit and found out it's a port of Harvest Moon 2 for GBC. They did a pretty good job, a lot of graphics are straight ported over. Impressive IMO :) You actually move much faster in the FC version too.
Some things they failed to port over though were the title + getting to choose if you're male or female.
Yep, it does. Works fine as far as I see too.
I should point out that the 2 Naruto's do sadly have their batteries loose. Not really something I can avoid when getting these things it seems. Thankfully at least Harvest Moon and Pikachu are fine.
I kinda wish I bought Pokemon Yellow instead of the Pokemon pirate I got. :-\
Which did you get? Pokemon Red? I know that one sucks..
I've never played all the others. I know Trenton was selling Pokemon Crystal. Still very curious what that one was myself, port of an NDS game? I honestly haven't kept up with Pokemon for years, so I have no idea what games came out on what systems after Red Blue Green Yellow Silver and Gold. Crystal's also supposedly dumped, but I've yet to ever come across that anywhere.
Pokemon Crystal is actually the one I'm talking about. It's presented very nicely. It came in a nice, solid box, with a tiny instruction booklet (which made me laugh), the cartridge seemed to be in nice condition, and the label was fairly appealing too. It looks really nice, but when I actually pop it in to play it, I had a problem right away. Since it's a pirate, it most likely wasn't made to play in the real Famicom, so every time I put it in, no matter how clean the pins are, or how I adjust the cartridge, I'm always presented with scrambled graphics. My only option was to stick it in to my PowerJoy Famiclone, which produced nice enough results. The screen produced a clear image, and after playing it for a few minutes, it seemed to be an exact port of Ruby/Sapphire (which, if you don't know, are the first two games in the Pokemon series released on the GBA, Crystal is the 3rd in the GS series. Much like Yellow is to Red and Green.) The biggest thing that made me almost downright mad was that I couldn't save my adventure. So I can't really complete it. From what I've played (up to a little past the first gym,) it seemed like an exact port. Anyway, I soon came to realize that the cartridge was also a bit flimsy (as most pirates are), and when I tried pulling it out of the PowerJoy, a piece of the cartridge snapped off. I haven't played it a whole lot since. :-\

I also had a laugh at the size on the instruction manual. What cheap-o's! At least it's in full color... As for the cartridge, I've had the best results in my Power Joy 3 as well. Problem is, the cartridge wobbles because of the PJ3's bad design, and can sometimes corrupt the game. You really have to play carefully.
Yes, those manuals :D Sucks they can't even be held in properly in the case, they're always flipping out when i open a box.
These games play best on clones I guess. I get graphical glitching on all games at the title screens only. Sometimes games don't even start and you have to keep resetting or taking the cart out and put it back in. Not a single Famicom pirate I own or have sold has yet to not do that to me. They really AREN'T meant for official consoles, are they?
Pokemon Crystal sounds pretty interesting, sounds like you just got bad luck due to the build quality of these things. Probably just as good as the Yellow port. I guess they maybe actually have taken some time out with these ones, I'm really impressed how good it looks. Why can't they do that for more of their games? :'(
So, have you tried the Pokemon game on a real Famicom?
All I have is a top loader NES. All games work perfectly fine though.
So you used a converter, eh? I never thought of that. I'll try that on my Pokemon game and see what happens.
I haven't used a real console in a long time, but I have a Game Theory which works fine if not for the blurry LCD screen. But if I had to do a console setup, I'd probably use my Subor keyboard since most stores sell pirates to run on these.
As for save games, usually when I find my saves don't stick a simple battery swap works just great. If you use a cell phone opener you can pop open the case and just change the batteries.

Let us know what happens. I'm curious if you get a glitched title like I do for all games. Must just be the games not being meant to run on the real thing or something.
You get a glitched title screen for all games, or just your pirates? I've played official titles and a few pirates on a black box converter in some kind of top loading clone that I have (which has really good game compatibility, by the way), and most of them show up/play just fine. There are a few with messed up title screens, but not many. The thing that I think is weird is Codemasters games in a Famicom through a converter. ::) The CODEMASTERS screen is ALWAYS scrambled on all of them, and then after that, they all show different graphical glitches here and there.
Only the Nanjing games I have(Naruto, Pokemon Yellow and Harvest Moon). I'm guessing they display fine on other consoles. The converter I'm using btw is some odd thing that says Nintendo Power on it. No idea what it is, Nintendo never gave away converters after all, did they? :P But I do wonder if it could be the converter causing issues or some type.
This one? :D http://www.famicomworld.com/Doodads/Nintendo_Power_Adaptor.htm
hey, that's it! :o Is it an official product after all? Why did Nintendo care to help people play imports?
No, it's not. FW just did a review on it.
Alright, I'm willing to take reasonable(and by that I mean don't go down to $10 or something) offers for these games, since no one seems to be interested :-\
Keep in mind I don't do trades. Unless you had a Sonic 2 beta pirate or Kirby's Super Star pirate for Genesis, there's nothing I'm looking for I can't get myself already.
You mean, there's a Kirby Super Star for Genesis?
I never knew.
I read about it on a Japanese website years ago, and just recently another pirate collector told me he's heard of it too.
Hopefully it does exist. I might get a pic of it as he said he might have one.
Really? Way cool! I love snes to geneis conversions. And I love Kirby.
Last chance to make offers on the Famicom games guys. Else I might just try my luck on eBay(this doesn't include the multicart, just the boxed games).
Do you think you could talk to that pirate collector about the Kirby game? If you got it, how much would you sell it for?
Not like I could buy it or anything.
I thought it was obvious I'm searching myself :D If I could get spare copies I'd sell a couple, though no idea on price as I'd have no idea what I'd be buying it for yet. I doubt I'll come across it though, this pirate collector said he's just "heard" of it, and may have a pic, nothing more. I have no leads on actually finding it yet sadly.
Plus without selling some of the stuff I have now I can't afford to get too many things. That's why they might be eBay'd soon, can't buy new things without making back what I lost last time.
I wish you luck. :)
Updated with Yang Family Warrior. Got so many other stuff but it was all things bought for people in private :D
I have one copy of Naruto(with the battery put back in place now) left that I lowered the price on, other's up for auction with the rest of the things I didn't sell.
Could you take pics of the game. Hopefully the text is not in chinese.
Of Naruto or Yang?
Naruto of course is in Chinese, since it's an RPG and it's from Nanjing; all their games are in Chinese.
Yang is just a side scrolling beat em' up, so it's not dependent on any text to get by.
Topic bump finally. Been awhile :)
What do the switches do on that Fami 5-in-1? Does it use those instead of a menu to choose a game?
Ya, they choose the game, there's no menu.
What's that Final Fantasy X. Hack of anything?
FFX is a completely original GBC pirate. If anyone's interested you can see video here.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctlfFfjFqQ0
I probably should have pointed out what it is, but sort of felt people would know what it is already. :)
Final Fantasy X feels like a heavily modified version of KOF'95 / Samurai Shodown (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPpdxT9ME-c&feature=related). It's like they recycled the music and changed the venue to a side scroller using the same fighting engine. Pretty neat..
I remember people pointing out in the comments of the video that the music is taken from a KOF game, yeah. The engine too though? Didn't know. Wonder if the graphics game from elsewhere then.
The graphics look Samurai Shodown 'ish which is a weapon based super deformed fighter in the same vain as KOF for the gameboy. Though, I wouldn't be surprised if they redid their own graphics.
